I use the where u parking it test...

U parking it in the driveway or garage of the home you own and can afford it cool...

If not and can afford it, there are other things you should focus on first IMO.

Good luck breh...

It's not as cut dry as that though.

I'm from the east coast, lived an expensive ass area (by north east coast standards) and owned a pretty big house out there. I live in OC, CA...making more money....and the same sized house is going for 1.2 million to start.

Does that mean I have to drive a Toyota Corolla until I can afford the down payment on the house I want? Of course not.

I am with you on the parking test though. I live in a cottage at the beach. A Porsche 911 in my driveway wouldn't look out of place in my city...but it would look out of place at my cottage.

You will regret buying it in about a year. Especially when your GS would be paid off and your seating at the repair shop with a 1000$+ bill. Trust me I been there, I traded an A6 in for an A8L. But I wasn't upside down.

You're going to be spending more monthly, more on gas and repairs, big difference between a 3.5L v6 and 5.5L v8. Brakes and Rotors are bigger, a lot of components are just more enhanced to accommodate the speed and power.

After all of that, you're probably still will be pulling the same level of women. :mjcry:

If I could do it over, I'd pay off my a6, get it detailed, throw some S6 wheels on it and make it feel brand new. Use the extra money to cop a 96 Impala SS or some old school classic.

So let me get this straight, you buried yourself in your current car, and instead of learning your lesson you're willing to do it again except you'll be even more underwater with no way out?

Forget the increased maintenance on wear items.
Buried in car debt? :camby:I can pay my current car off now but what for when I know I'm gonna want something else and I'll still have to pay a car note? The car note for the cls550 won't exceed 15% of my monthly take home pay (after taxes) so it's not a situation of affordability. It's rather the extra $200 is worth it

Never implied that you couldn't afford it I'm sure you can, but I would seriously look at the COO over the next say 5 year as opposed to just the increase in your car note.

No doubt, the plan would be to drive it for how ever many miles and years that the extended to warranty would cover then get rid of it. I know it's not fiscally responsible but fukk it:manny:

Honestly Benz changes the body too often to get a 4 yr old model
Especially for 45k. You might get another 2-3 yrs out of that body before its washed

Wherever whores go.....
You can't even afford a 2008 Lexus
Don't do it :russ:

There is absolutely no good reason for you to be upside down on that old of a car. Fix your finances first then come at the throne :youngsabo:

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
If you upside down on a 2008 whats your credit looking like? :mjpls:

At the end of the day, I look at it like this if buying it is gonna have you living pay check to pay check or damn near close to it, DON"T DO IT.

Just because you have extra bread, don't mean you gotta spend it. And cars are a means to something else. Stunting is only temporary.

This times a thousand. I'm in the same boat as you (more or less) and I actually sell cars. I know it's not the answer you're looking for but you should just be practical and stay in the GS til it's paid off or you better your financial situation to the point where you ain't sweating the extra $200/month AT ALL
