I hate when people phone browse during shows/movies. If you want to fukk with your phone, go in the other room and quit interrupting my watching experience with your flashing screen.

The worst is when I'm trying to watch something and some rude ass decides to watch world star clips ("bbbbut the sounds is turned down to low") on the other end of the couch. shyt is infuriating. I've put family out of my house over it.

The only exception is if we're all sitting around with some background Seinfeld or something on the tv, but if it's movie time for the majority, I will break your phone and your spirit to teach you the manners your mama forgot. :birdman:

It isn't the phones it's the people. You have to make the choice to pick it up or put it down when watching a show/movie. If what you are watching isn't good enough to hold your full attention watch something else. If you choose to pick up your phone to do something else while watching that same show the phone isn't ruining a good show it's letting you put up with a bad one.
The phones be so addictive doe :noah:

It's always something to do on it

Plus with me, because of netflix, I cant fukk with commercials anymore.
I only watch my television for sports or if I have nothing to stream. I don't have kids, so I can't remember the last time I sat on a couch to watch a television show, dead ass
I think it only ruins the discussion and anticipation. You notice oitnb threads are never poppin because everyone is at different points. Sometimes there is also regret. Last year i finished s2 in a weekend and was like wtf am i gonna watch next.

I think daredevil did it well. Cant pinpoint how but nothing was lost for me by binge watching
I think it ruins the overall experience compared to traditional television. You remember the experience of watching LOST and talking about it all week and coming up with theories with friends, classmates, coworkers, etc. Game of Thrones on Sunday is required viewing. Imagine if Game of Thrones was a Netflix show and you were on episode 3 of Season 3 and your boy just watched the Red Wedding episode:what:

I dislike it when people hold on to their phones while watching tv but I do it sometimes.

That episode of Louie when his daughter was at the theater watching a play with him and he gets pissed that she was on the phone seemingly chatting with her friends was funny but true as fukk...she was really just googling shyt about the play she was watching.

I don't play around on facebook or the coli when I watch tv (most of the time) but I will google shyt about the shyt that i'm watching

I watched Pans Labyrinth for the first time recently and I was so interested in the movie that i'm looking up shyt about it as I watch it...why don't I just watch the fukking movie :dahell:

Infuriates me when people be watching TV or movies with their phones out. Sometimes bytches be hollering at me on iMessage loke "ohshyt this just happened" in this episode and I'm like nikka put your phone down and holla at me after the episode.

The one that got me though when I was at university last year. I was rewatching The Wire with my boy who had never seen it before. We in S5 in that episode where Omar is about to get offed by the little young'n. My boy is on his MACBOOK watching Worldstar Vine video compilations in the middle of the episode :dahell: I ain't say shyt cos son was already pissing me off. We carry on and Omar gets shot in the fukking store, loud gunshot and everything. Son stil watching WSHH aint even notice the gun ring off. Episode finishes he's floating in and out.

Next episode loads up they talking about how Omar is found dead. He's like :wtf: Wait Omar is dead? When did that happen. I'm like :aicmon: nikka it happened in the previous episode He's like WHAT WHY DIDNT YOU SAY ANYTHING..

I love binging now with my android box and Netflix I have everything at my disposal

Being able to watch a whole season of a TV show in a week or even less is a blessing and a curse. It's a blessing in that, obviously, you don't have to wait as long to see how things play out. But it's a curse in that singular episodes no longer matter. You remember the highlights during the season and you remember the end. I've found it muddies the reviews of the overall season. Read each House of Cards thread here and read a Game of Thrones or other weekly show thread. You get very simplistic reviews and opinions on seasons of Netflix shows, but shows where you're waiting a week to watch tend to leave a more indelible mark on your memory and end up being more lasting. Binge watching in any form (DVR, streaming) falls under the same umbrella. When singular episodes aren't getting the full attention they deserve, can a full season really be judged the right way?

I'm funna binge watch the fukk outta this season of Game of Thrones:steviej:

I'm a movie lover. Nothing more infuriating than watching a movie with someone and they're on their phone.

....then they have the nerve to ask: "Wait, what, just happened? "

:aicmon:

This shyt pissed me.off too, I tried to show my sister and mom game of thrones one weekend awhile ago and they watched it for like 2 minutes then was on their phones the rest of the time. I just turned it off half way and said I guess yall don't care about this show and then they got mad at me and said they were watching and I just shook my head

It's part of the experience for me to watch somethin and discuss it tho. When ppl are starin at their phone 95% of the time it drives me crazy
