There's a big difference between someone having a temporarily low paying job going through school and someone who has no skills working a 10-15/hr job.

Personally, I live strictly off loans and financial support from my parents and family.
I'll be in six figures of debt when I'm finished with my schooling.
I won't generate
any income until four years from now
at the earliest, and that's barring I'm not forced to remediate any subject, pass the boards the first time, and successfully match.
She would be better off
with the ambitious fast food worker if she was looking for immediate bread and didn't want to 4-12 years for a payoff, or simply locking down someone who actually has completed their degree, especially considering that she's in the same boat I'm in.
