You seemed like you were bragging about it at the time, tho . On some "we had a great time and only spent $$.
We did have a good time and all it cost was $2.39 for my food. The point was that it doesn't take a $100 date to have fun with someone. If you took that as bragging then thats on you. Spend as much money as you want on a date shyt just aint for me.

I totally agree...went out with a guy and all I wanted was juice box, he looked at me sideways. Many girls want guys to put effort into their dates.

t's just the way you said it at the time. I remember it stood out to me.

The most fun dates ive ever been on are typically when we go out and walk and bullsh!t in the part or at the beach. Most you spend there is about $3 for parking and maybe another 2 for some Italian Ice :yeshrug:

Key on they both going to college. I wouldnt marry an athlete either, that's a smart decision. No one is saying that money matters above else all we are saying is that it must be factored into a potential lifemate.
Yeah but its the fact she stayed loyal rather than hoppin to man with a higher status

thank you. I don't do broke nikkas either but I'm smart enough to know the difference between that and a hard working, dedicated man who makes sacrifices with great potential.

I wouldn't consider them higher status b/c most athletes are dumb and stupid with money. Plus I aint bout that wag life. I have too much reverence for myself but no disrespect to any female that chooses that life.

:snoop: Damn they got to you too.

My nikka sounding like a recincar lite...

Negro, please.
If I change that statement to "some men," wanting a Megan Goode look alike who cooks, cleans, and honors their every beck and call when the men themselves are 5'3, have no degree, no aspirations of social mobility, and works in a bodega?
We're not even having this exchange.
The same applies to women who don't bring a fraction of what they desire in a mate to the table but still feels entitled to the upper echelon of men.
Tell me what's erroneous about that statement or not, but cut out the passive aggressiveness and say what you feel.
You're a grown ass man.
Stop it.

Do you think your girlfriend would have still given you a chance if she saw you work at a fast food place and making 10-15/hr with no prospects of better employment?
There's a big difference between someone having a temporarily low paying job going through school and someone who has no skills working a 10-15/hr job.

Irrelevant, and the OP specifically specified "looking to better himself."
Personally, I live strictly off loans and financial support from my parents and family.
I'll be in six figures of debt when I'm finished with my schooling.
I won't generate any income until four years from now at the earliest, and that's barring I'm not forced to remediate any subject, pass the boards the first time, and successfully match.
:heh:
She would be better off with the ambitious fast food worker if she was looking for immediate bread and didn't want to 4-12 years for a payoff, or simply locking down someone who actually has completed their degree, especially considering that she's in the same boat I'm in.

I think it depends on different factors. :patrice: There are some cats that are stopped at that wage who are simply re-uping for bigger moves. Chicks will still mess with you because they appreciate the grind. You won't be messing with a high maintenance dime piece but women appreciate the fact that you have a job because they understand the economy sucks. My homie works as a waiter and he still was able to snag him a skinny white preppy snowbunny.

I think as long as you aren't a near 40 year old weedhead working at McDonalds while living with your mama, you're gucci. Even then there are still hoodrats that will fukk with you.

For someone my age, still in college is that decent, but I am from Texas, so if you have a roommate you would not be bad off.
