What's crazy about crack is, you had to have knowledge on chemistry to make it which makes you think who started it, and why? I learned in South Africa during apartheid they planned to get people hooked on a certain drug to prevent the blacks from coming up. It's most likely the same here, but then that makes you ask why did people even start using it?

From what I seen, including today, it was people trying to emulate rich white people who partied a lot, and enjoyed excess, black people just love to act like they're living the high life even though they can't afford it.

The problem was blacks had no money, so once you spent all your shyt, reality hit and you couldn't afford that "good life" anymore, but you could still enjoy a $5 crack. Now, you are chasing that feel good feeling, but it doesn't last, then you go home to a place where family, and friends, are mean/judgemental. You hate that pain so now you looking for another hit.

Eventually you lose your job, and out on the streets. Family can't trust you, and now you with others who are struggling just like you. Your kids gotta eat, so now they're selling the same crack that caused their pain.

Meanwhile that little devil is drawing up laws to lock everyone up, because rehab costs too much for him, and his greedy crew. Spending money on drug rehab, and uplifting a community so they don't feel a need to party to feel like somebody, is not feasible, prison is.

And the cycle continues, except now we have entertainment, and social media to have young people feel like they need the new get high to fit in. Most won't get addicted but enough will, and the cash flow will keep coming, and white supremacy will stay intact because they have the money to help their own, blacks dont.

What's sad is love, and discipline, is all you need to prevent someone from even trying it, but as blacks we are living with racism, as well as competing with each other. That competition brings stress, and opens the door to experiment. Black people start loving each other more, and separate from those who just want to fight, compete, and stunt on you, they are no good people who will bring you down with them. It's hard, but we gotta change this shyt soon. fukk these "I'm successful" ego driven folks. Black people used to have physically demanding jobs that paid regular wages, but we had family who loved each other, I was there, and seen the change. Now, everyone is trying to be the shyt, and sacrificed the love of their own people.

LET'S BRING LOVE BACK, fukk TRYING TO BE "SUCCESSFUL"

This is why I :camby: when people say that times are wild now. Don’t get me wrong it’s some shyt out here but nothing compares to the 80s/early 90s. Shorties as young as 9 were on the corner, bussin guns, etc. Dope heads everywhere. Garbage repugnantican driven economy. Families irreversibly destroyed. That’s why shyt like the crime bill and Guilliani came along. And we also didn’t have well off families and resources like drug rehabs like the cacs and their “opioid” epidemic now. We just had Nancy(while her demented husband were cutting deals with “capitalist” in Latin America that flooded our streets with product) saying no and one music video

I was just in another thread on Bernie and people don't recognize the climate that led to that crime bill. Not excusing it, but that shyt didn't just magically appear out of nowhere.

People in the communities hardest hit by violent crime wanted that bill.

People need to look at the late 80s / early 90s annual murder numbers for places like NYC vs now.

80s = Worst Post-civil rights decade

Crack era, 80s fashion and hair, Reaganomics, Reagan himself, etc :scust:

only glimmer of light from that WOAT decade was the RnB. But thats not enough to make that decade look decent.:hhh:

Ahh, gotta love revisionist musings.

You, sir, don't know what you're talking about.

The 80's had the BEST movies, the BEST parties, the BEST TV/radio, we had video game arcades that doubled as hook-up/party/gang fight spots, you could literally leave your house at sunrise with $5 and not be back in your house until midnight and it was all good......until the Crack Epidemic fukked everything up.

I'm speaking from a kid/teenager perspective. Adults dealt with stuff that didn't really affect us.

Interesting. The women in those clips who admitted to using crack spoke so clearly.

Nowadays when people talk, I can barely understand what they are attempting to say. And their vocabulary is so limited.

this is also something people don't necessarily talk about, people in the 80's were just overall more intelligent and articulate

from the educated to uneducated...music lyrics were far more sophisticated too, and people understood them...but that's for another discussion don't get me started.
