I'm taking a break until after Thanksgiving. I'll still try to do cardio at least 2-3 days next week (maybe more if my sister wants to go for a run in the park).
I don't like to take more than 7-10 days off from the gym because I find it takes longer to get the momentum going again.

Meh fukk that shyt, ive probably been working out longer then most people here, 10 years, and ive taken months offThis. For me it's less about the gains but more about the routine and staying comitted to a goal.

All the that matters is that everyday you dont work out, it pains you that you cant. As long as you have that internal desire to get back in the gym youll be aight. Just because youre not working out doesnt mean your body will undo itself overnight. If youre truly committed to being fit, then your diet, wont let you turn into a slug.
Also "gains" can easily be made again. Plus im also of the belief that most people workout too much, so they limit their gains. A lot of my gains in size and strength, when i was stuck at a plateau, came after i had an extensive break.....
tues and thursday...What's your current schedule now?
How's your a$$hole now?The rest days are a must but I'm talking about a stretch of days where you're not doing anything. For example at the end of August/start of September I was told by my doctor to take a break from lifting to avoid abdominal pressure (I had a hemorrhoid that hemorrhaged), so for about 2 weeks I did absolutely nothing.
if you were from Harlem you'd assume I made a full recovery like a real nikkaHow's your a$$hole now?

You must be a Mt. Vernon nikka
That's even worseLondon
I think it's better just to switch it up and not always lift heavy or lift weights. Do calisthenics for a month. Lift lighter and do more reps. Take a week or two off periodically from everything. Gotta remember you only have one body, too much wear and tear/injury chances and you not an athlete or getting paid for training. One bad back injury and you're walking/sitting different for life.
