There's a German political commentator made a video a year ago talking about something like this. He likened the US to the Weimar Republic... a failed Democracy...the time period before Hitler's Night of Long Knives purge. It was a period where the German democracy became so ineffective, at everything, that it allowed right-wing extremists to gain power.
