No trade clause dictated where he wanted to go. Beal wanted to go to Phoenix over Miami, it’s as simple as that. Nothing to do with the better assets Miami has provided.This means Miami truly botched their pitch for Beal because if PHX told WAS no Ayton in the deal, I'm easily pivoting and dealing him to Miami.

Why would you give up the #8 pick and Porzingis? You’re trying to rebuild the roster. You want Porzingis give up the #3 pick. Wiz have at least a shot in the wind at a rebuild if they have both picks

That Sacramento team traded the equivalent of Bradley Beal at the age of 40 (Mitch Richmond) to have a super team. Meanwhile the wizards who was just about to emerge. Webber didn't win the title but Detroit Shaq and Kobe with other key wizards players from that same team. We traded away championships for Mitch and Ike Austin.

meh, KD had a load management year so its expected for Book to take some kind of leadership to finish the season
but in the first round their numbers were about the same and Kevin played little more minutes then Book- Kevin Durant 2023 Playoffs Stats | StatMuse

Why were all reports prior to this deal happening saying Miami was the destination and PHX was cap and a smokescreen? We are we also ignoring the reports that Miami didn't press all that much for Beal because they didn't want to go into the 2nd Apron threshold? They are also waiting on Lillard etc. Miami wasn't all in on Beal that's why he picked PHX despite MIA being the better fit and having the clearer path to the Finals.
