This was the hardest telephone call I ever had to make to my Father. He hung up quickly :mjcry:

When I read the news I couldn't believe it. He was just one of those figures who seemed larger than life that you thought would always be around no matter the condition he was in.

Very sad news. I actually have a Muhammad Ali story. My father met Ali twice while working in Chicago. My dad worked for the sewer department and was working in the Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago where Ali had a house at one time. He said Ali was very nice and even bought the whole work crew lunch on one occasion!

I usually don't get upset by celebrity deaths but this one has me legitimately sad. RIP champ. You will NEVER be forgotten.

This really should be upped site wide today. This is a sports forum and should pay tribute to someone as important/iconic as Muhammad Ali. Flags are at half-staff in Louisville today.

RIP to the GOAT. If anyone is ever near Louisville, really go and check out the Museum. It is inexpensive and a fun place to check out if you are remotely interesting in boxing.
