I guess this just comes down to personal opinion since its all speculation at this point, but why you would believe anything but the worst from republicans while they deny elections, attack CRT and DEI, remove affirmative action, are born and raised racist, don't believe in police brutality or assume everyone who experiences it deserved it, and refuse to deny associates with radical white supremacists, I have no fukking idea. I just don't think they're currently able to sway public opinion country wide to convince the majority to go back to jim crow or commit violence against us on a large scale. That's the point of the propaganda and cacs end goal though.

And they're getting closer to that goal every day, pushing boundaries like this. Because of abbott's stunt all of a sudden it's a little more "normal" to deploy troops against a certain race in the name of protecting citizens. That's an obvious slippery slope. That's part of the reason why republicans can't be allowed to hold the presidency again or else it can escalate from a governor doing this to a state to a president doing it the nation.
As for the latter point, republicans are constantly exaggerating issues around immigration and democrats are constantly downplaying it, so it's hard to get a barometer of what's really happening. But illegal immigration is never allowed by either side, and democrats are currently trying to do things right with legislation to get things under control and republicans are purposefully refusing to let it pass.
So with both sides partially distorting information, I'm always going to pick the democrats narrative over the republicans.

This whole current issue is becasue dems allowed that BS arguement that these are all asylum seekers. So now any illegal just gets to the border says they are seeking asylum and gets turned loose inside the country until they get a hearing. Then they don't show up to their hearing and continue on their merry way. Two things have to be clear, economic reasons are not reasons for asylum. Also, you don't get to pick and choose which country you get asylum in, it supposed to be the first country that you come to, for many that would be mexico. They are gaming the system because the dems allowed it. That's not even counting the ones that are just jumping the border and disappearing. I find it real funny how when the Haitians were coming over, they found a way to deport them really fast. Haitians actually had a real asylum case in my opinion, much better than these hispanic CACs that are coming over the border.
