Whatever the federal laws say, the red states have been operating this way for decades. Certain states currently only have one abortion clinic, so even when the federal law ruled for pro-choice, that’s never really been the case.

So overall this effects policy very little, however it has monumental effects on how the government views itself in relation to personal autonomy, and that’s a slippery slope we’re not going to stop going down any time soon.

This is the SAME situation with voting rights and when I keep. trying. to. tell. people. how real this shyt is, they just shrug and say whatever.

I hate this nonsense of an answer. “It’s a tiny percentage”, you’re right it is a tiny percentage around 2.1 percent (1.6 for rape. & 0.5 for incest) but who cares what the percentage is, a rape victim is still a rape victim.

So now we’re forcing females to carry kids to term in terrible economic conditions and wonder why we have the problems we’re having.
