i dont give a fukk if it gets scrapped at this point

It is uncertain whether we are headed towards single payer and this is the bill Democrats drew up. Republicans didn't b*stardize anything. Dems just lacked fortitude.
They wanted to placate the insurance companies and not drive them out of business when they are one of the major problems with our health scare system

Dems try to include the Health insurance industry on the health care changes and what do the insurance companies do? fukk you over and raise prices on the government that

You don't think the dems are taking note?

Its crazy how the USA touts itself as such an advanced country yet our healthcare system is so stratified and in shambles in some aspects.

Should've had a public option from the get go, but our politicians (on both sides) are stupid. Dems for lacking the balls and Repubs for not wanting healthcare for all because of the goodwill it would bring to the Dems for a generation.

I think they should be charged more though, especially when you the less sick aren't contributing. If you have a pre-existing condition that requires thousands of dollars in treatment and you're only putting in a few hundred per month you're benefiting heavy and the insurance company is getting screwed. That's why I said the whole system needs to be revamped. There is no reason healthcare costs as much as it does in the first place.
No, we don't need health insurance companies in the 1st Place

It's just a market exploit. They don't provide a service that anyone needs.

No because Dems are currently fighting against single payer in Colorado. Bernie Sanders is one of the few in support.

Eh, I wouldn't say they aren't necessary especially when you move past basic yearly check ups. Trying to coordinate the cost and payment for on-going cancer treatment just isn't something anyone would want or should have to deal with. I think they serve their purpose and serve it well, but again the healthcare system is just stupid.

It'll be an interesting cycle. I still find it amusing that there is no "Obamacare" it's just subsidized healthcare that the same insurance companies that were already around were providing. I used to sell this insurance and this was a massive misconception that misled a lot of people.

I'll be intrigued to see how the penalty system will work its way into things as well. The IRS is finally catching up w/ things and I've seen some people get fined for lapses in coverage.

How do Dems gain the public's vote for Single payer with the inevitable payroll tax increase that follows it?

The government can do everything you named and do It much better and cheaper than any insurance company can

so...insurance companies just doing it cause they can?

I think their Logic is mostly centered around sick people signing up for Obamacare and healthy people are not

So since they can't offset the cost of these high insurance claims with healthy people paying for insurance they aren't using then they will just raise the rates on the sick and make the government foot the bill
