Everyone in the WWE, from the executives to the bookers and agents, to yes, the wrestlers, live in a bubble.

Rock was one of the biggest WWE stars ever and he outright said "there's WWE fame and there's fame fame".

The WWE plays up how relevant they are in modern society when it benefits them but they are comfortable knowing that nothing against them really will stick like that because the outside world just doesn't care enough. It doesn't.

And the WWE is right. Freaking Chris Benoit could rise from the dead and make a surprise appearance and the crowd will mark out. Vince is still getting fans bowing down to him at appearances. Freaking fans last night started a "USA! USA! USA!" chant at Walter last night The WWE will always have their niche fans and will move along just fine, Vince included.
