I know on paper KD in Phoenix looks nice but I can’t get over how he was manhandled by Boston last year. Everyone in the media is crowning these guys but I’m gonna wait and watch how this turns out

I also don’t have much faith in a deep playoff run from CP3

Did you see how the roster was constructed? Boston literally had to guard one man (KD) and hunt two players on the other end. Not to mention refs let them get away with every bump and foul. Did KD not manhandle Boston the year prior with a more evenly constructed roster? Did he not drop an efficient 31 on Boston this season and is averaging 30 ppg?

Booker is enough to keep teams from selling out and doubling KD every possession. CP0 will be the primary ball handler so he can get to his spots.

Plus Ayton is highly efficient from the paint. And he can hit mid range jumpers. His hook shot is almost automatic.

Yeah gotta stop responding to people that don’t watch basketball or love hottakes for their agenda. As long as Phoenix stays healthy it’ll go from “I don’t think they’re good bc of x playoff year” to “it’s just not fair. Another ring that doesn’t count :mjcry: how many super teams can he make?”

  • Kevin Durant wanted out of Brooklyn as early as last Monday afternoon, the day after the Irving trade. He and Rich Kleiman, his agent and business manager, met with Sean Marks and specifically asked for a trade to the Suns. Despite reporting that the Nets were trying to find another player to replace Irving and ameliorate Durant, the deal was essentially done when Irving got dealt. Durant didn’t think that the Nets had enough to win a championship. Durant wanted his entreaty kept quiet and told Marks that if he couldn’t work a deal with Phoenix, he’d be willing to stay and play hard until the summer. But in reality would that work, particularly when everyone knew it would eventually leak?

Phoenix should be the favorites in the West on paper but CP3 being washed, Ayton being extremely inconsistent in terms of production and effort and lack of depth has them as kind of shaky favorites. At least for this season
I also think they're not a good health bet

Yeah they'll try it. Big difference though is the Suns havent won prior to KD like the Dubs who won and had a 73 win season. So if the Suns win, KD is unequivocally the guy who put them over the top.
