It's deeper than KD and Kyrie.

Harden, Kyrie and KD were all on the team a year ago.

1 year later ALL THREE are GONE.
People say that but never point to what ownership did. Nets ownership has made some mistakes but ultimately, they’re as average as any other front office. Players win championships and they had the players. They left because of uncertainty. And we all know who caused it but everyone dances around it. If Kai gets vaccinated the Nets are defending champions right now. He didn’t and Wiggins did and GSW won. It’s that simple.

Everything ownership did was a reaction to that. These moves they just made were to cut 100 million in luxury tax. Why have the second highest payroll in the NBA to win one series. The Nets won’t need a long rebuild at all. What’s strange to me is how they went from being a respected upcoming organization to apparently everyone thinks they’re brainless and have no culture. What happened to their team in the last 4 years that may have altered their culture? The Nets will be just fine. They have young pieces and a lot of first round picks. And they did right by Durant. They told him if shyt went left you can go to Phoenix. Kyrie demanded a trade and KD wanted to leave because of it. And they kept their word to him.

Every all time great won on a stacked team. The Detroit Pistons, Duncan 03 Spurs and that fluke ass warriors team are the only three teams in my lifetime that won without at least 2 top 25 players.

Yeah, let’s not compare him to all time greats who were drafted to super teams.

Because that’s really the difference right. We ignore playing on super teams if you were drafted there as if that somehow makes a difference in what happens with the team on the court.

I'd rather have Bridges than CP3 at this point. :hubie:

Nothing we've seen from CP in recent years indicates he can handle a playoff scheldule, not to mention his form has already dropped off this season.

So likely at some point in the playoffs all they're gonna have is KD, Booker, Ayton and some scrubs.

So KD and Booker gonna have to get run into the ground and that's especially concerning for keeping KD healthy.

It's still overall the right move to make just because they weren't doing shyt with the team currently constructed. A KD/Booker pairing is very exciting but the lack of depth gonna kill them I think. Maybe they can retool in the summer and find a way to add depth.
