Nahhh Brian Windhorst explained it this morning and it’s a lot more complicated than that. The players don’t get paid during the playoffs except bonuses, so you’d essentially be cancelling 259 games worth of paychecks. There’s also the issue of trying to complete enough games for each teams so they can meet the quota number of games for their local television deals.

You will also have to bring in players who are currently overseas back into the US and quarantine them for two weeks plus another one before you move them into the bubble.

It’s a lot of pieces that have to fall into place in a short amount of time.
