The Disney fam (ESPN/ABC) and TNT are not about to broadcast non stop cussing and n-words. I fully expect fake background noise on the broadcasts for the exact reason of muffling that stuff. These networks already always apologize when a mic’ed up curse word gets clearly broadcasted.

There are plenty of “shyt” and “fukk” being thrown around during plays. That’s not going to fly on a network broadcast

That's why I said I know it'd never happen. They want to try and preserve as much of the wholesome image as possible and don't want to show how the players really be talking on the court. I've definitely heard the mics picking up some wild shyt at times.

NBA fans have been dying to be able to hear on court convos for forever. I know the NBA would never let it happen but if they turned up the on court audio so it seemed like you was just watching these dudes playing a pick up game in the gym that shyt could be amazing.

I wonder how loud they'll have the arena music and if players will get to agree on a set number of custom mixes.

If no music then the players, benches, and coaches are gonna hear every bit of commentary from reggie, chris, marv, jeff, mark, breene, etc

It's one thing to randomly throw in a MF or shyt in a random conversation versus talking shyt on the court. The league can't control the image players put out there on their own through social media but they can control what is shown on the court. You know the NBA tries to remove the thug or street image. shyt like this Ben Simmons clip ain't the image they want to have out there.

Sadly I thought that was just talk until I started working around and spending time around more white people. Trash talk like that REALLY bothers some of them.

Adam Silver held a conference call with general managers on Thursday to review the results of a survey delivered to teams last week regarding potential formats to resume the 19-20 season.

“There was zero commitment to any one plan,” a general manager told The Ringer over the phone. “But it was a call to gather more information.”

Half of the NBA's general managers voted to go straight to the playoffs and cancel the remainder of there regular season, while just over half of GMs voted to reseed the playoffs 1 to 16 without factoring in conference.


About 75 percent of teams voted in favor of a play-in tournament, sources said, while 25 percent of teams voted in favor of the group stage.

“Adam isn’t taking the results seriously,” a team executive told The Ringer earlier in the week. “Every team is obviously gonna vote for what’s best for them.”
