It would be wise to wait till June when most places have been opened, to see how this virus has reacted to people re-emerging outside again this month. Even then, too many variables of what could happen

You don't need to wait until June when Texas is already reporting huge spikes and GA just racked up 3837 new cases in one week after the 1000+ day May 1st lol. Germany is having to lock parts of the country back down and they're one of the few that handled it the right way. Spain isn't opening up its highest populated cities (Barcelona, Madrid).

Hawaii is the only part of this country to report zero new cases in a day since March and that's only bc they're lucky enough to have bodies of water separating them from the stupidity that is the rest of the country.

The measuring stick is already there for what's going to happen, the is question how bad do they let it get before shutting down again.

That doesnt make it a good idea. And my team is in the playoffs.

It's fine if randoms over the internet with no power say a bunch of shyt. I'm used to seeing it since March, it's frustrating but they don't have any control beyond their own lives. "Being scary as hell" or "thinking positive" while the shythead president who's supposed to be in charge of keeping people safe is adding numbers to the death toll each day like it's nothing isn't possible right now lol.

That kind of attitude from not only the Trump admin but the American people is exactly why we're where we are. So what's going to end up happening is one of these coaches or athletes who's immune system is compromised is going to have to sit on a ventilator or worse for these blockhead nikkas and money hungry corporations to accept the loss of revenue and/or sports. It sucks the needless loss of life has to happen to protect people but that's how things go in Trumpland.

Hypothetically speaking if a top twenty ish player were to die what would be the repercussions that would hit the NBA?

Redneck ass nascar had it's biggest star ever (dale ernhart) die on live tv and is still around 20 years later. I know the rona is different because it's a virus instead but figured it's still worth mentioning.

Rednecks don't value anyone's lives including their own. if they mess this up Silver will likely have to step down and they may face lawsuits.

That’s different though, death and serious injury is an inherent part of auto racing. The fans, drivers, and sponsors all accept that going in to every race. F1, IndyCar, NASCAR, and every other major auto racing circuit has had a major star die on the track at some point and the season goes on, because it’s motor sports.

A top star being killed by the virus, because of the negligence of the league would be a crippling PR blow for any sport.

Some of y’all are scary as hell or fans of some shytty teams.

Things are opening up across the country. It’s inevitable that they try to finish the season.

Salute for Silver for at least taking cautious steps but being honest about everything.

Let’s not forget the NFL is pushing full steam ahead so that definitely creates pressure.

Think positive retarded my guys.

Telling people to have use common sense is not "scary".
:heh:Yall keep saying this.

The same problems threatening this season are the same problems threatening "next season". The same shyt that could happen during this years playoffs could happen on opening day. So you either figure out a way to make it work or you shut everything down until a vaccine comes out. Nothing's going to change between now and december as far as this virus goes. As long as theres no vaccine or treatment, anyone could get got at any time no matter what and it could be a problem. I dont think yall seem to get that part..

Uh yeah, during World War II, a lot of shyt was just a wrap for about 4 years.

A lot of Hall of Fame baseball, football, and boxing stars just lost that gap out of their careers.

A year or 2 might just be missing from guys' careers.

:heh:or 10. Or 20. Or more.

Some of you dudes still dont get it. Vaccines are some of the hardest things to develop and take the longest to perfect. You know how many viruses that were discovered DECADES ago that to THIS DAY have no vaccine or alternative treatment yet, despite countless efforts and billions of dollars? Yall really think its a game out here. This isnt some calf injury where you could just wait it out and things are will be guaranteed normal over time. Thats what Silver is trying to say.

Dudes talkin bout "nah too dangerous, lets just end 2020 and just wait till next season"

If they ultimately decide its too dangerous then theyres not gonna be a "next season" until they develop a pharmaceutical... Which realistically might not even happen in our lifetimes. So either you create a plan ASAP and rock with it, or you shut everything down for good...Because nothings going to change anytime soon. Its a problem that isnt going away.

Except we aren’t in a World War. We have a virus that has killed 0.5% of the people it’s infected.

Scary ass.

My Pops Forever RIP
I would've been filed fraud on that shyt :heh:

How the hell they ain't giving refunds for past games yet
they technically haven't canceled them yet. It's a dikk move, but it's within their right to do that. Even then, they might just offer to move that ticket towards a future game instead. Dirty game.
