@Deirdre Assenza
The Economist now. This bullshyt pearl-clutching. Literally a convicted felon just received a pardon he preemptively granted himself via his personal SOTUS to reclaim the presidency and populate the government with crooks and psychos. We give even fewer fukks about Hunter’s choices than before.

@gwenatbsky @gwenat.bsky.social
Literally a convicted felon, who incited an insurrection to stay in power and was indicted for trying to steal an election will be our next POTUS. Had iden pardoned Trump he would have been a "hero" - but for his son it's abuse of power. The media needs to just be ignored at this point.

The Economist (@economist.com)The New York Times (@nytimes.com)Politico (@politico.com)Axios (@axios.com)Reminder: Outlets like @economist.com, @nytimes.com, @politico.com, @axios.com are not friends to emocrats and hold double standards, constantly giving Republicans passes for horrendous behavior in no way comparable to what ems do. Start treating them like the enemy, same as the GOP does.

lt text:
Trump pardoned an actual war criminal, a Navy SEL whose squadmates disabled his gun because they suspected he was killing civilians for fun, and it caused maybe 1/10th the outrage as this.

oming from the same right wing rag that joined with Republicans in calling for severe cuts to US Veterans benefits. Those Tory Twits agree with Republicans that Veterans and dead soldiers like my son are..."suckers and losers"...

ll I got out of it was a worthless piece of metal called a gold star which I threw in the trash the night Trump was elected in 2016. I want nothing to do with it.

The Economist’s hand-wringing is laughable when Trump, a self-pardoned felon, is openly planning a cabinet of crooks and psychopaths to reclaim power. This level of willful blindness makes their analysis worse than useless.

Wouldn't even have pressed charges if his last name was Smith. This pardon pales in comparison to Trump's past and planned pardons. Give me a break

27/40
@Stewart Tan @sstan99.bsky.social
I think the pardon was appropriate: it corrects the injustice with an unfair prosecution. These types of cases are rarely prosecuted (per Kristy Greenberg, formerly at SNY) and would not have happened if not for Hunter's last name.

With TFG within 1000/miles of the discussion, Hunter iden should be the last topic discussed

If the media wants to talk about who opened the investigation in to Hunter, and why, that might be a convo worth having.
