We are cooked. Trump being a convicted felon can get elected, hunter Biden being a crack smoking felon can get pardoned, and you have BLACK people arguing in favor of these things.

Which is why, with only a month and some weeks away before sleepy/genocide Joe is out of power, this will be small potatoes relative to the amount of fukkery about to be unleashed that it's seems trivial and silly to care about at this point. It's almost comically trivial in the grand scheme.
Best case scenario they don't do all the things they literally tell you they are going to do. But, when you have a dude literally praising Victor Orban in a debate, multiple people from their side stating they want to institute a one party rule just like Hungary, holding CPAC in Hungary, and finally Republicans running test labs in multiple states of this exact system over the past decade and some change where they have one party rule at the state level regardless of how hard people vote, this will quickly become trivial in relation. Worst case scenario, they do effectively make the system where you may be able to vote but like in Hungary or in some states in this country, regardless of the vote they always come out on top. Then on top of that, and ignoring all the other shyt not mentioned here, most people say "more of that please".
So, what purpose is there to care about this shyt anymore if that is the direction we are going toward? Might as well try emptying the ocean with a bucket. I honestly don't care one way or another that he did this. I'm not pro or anti it. I may have been outwardly anti if this was a few months ago. At this point, just throw it in the whole pile of shyt this country is about to go through as it relates to corruption. Accusing folks of hypocrisy at this point is not really all that effective at shaming people when folks are more just like "fukk it let it all burn". I haven't even participated in any of the Trump threads where absurd and corrupt shyt is obvious recently like his nominations. I'm just more eh makes sense and tracks. Whatever.

There's a lot of moving pieces and wider themes about pardoning and politicized prosecutions, but personally, having been through jail, and getting sober at a young age, the weakness and lack of responsibility for someone like Hunter Biden is just weak to me. I read his memoir. I read the indictments. He did that shyt. He admits all of it.
1) plead it all out and take your shyt like a man, tell the judge, I fukked up, but I take full responsibility.
2) Wasting everyone's time taking it to trial, humiliating your family, just take your sentence like a man. The judge is in LA. It's a reasonable district. It's not some madman in New Orleans, some state court bullshyt. Trump isn't in office yet. Just take the time. He was probably going to do like 8 months. Maybe even nothing.
Understand that the norms and codes of someone in his socioeconomic position is different than mine, but it's just p*ssy shyt to me. He's not going to be broke, he's not going to die. Just admit what you did and go handle it.
