I knew when I saw it. All the replays looked like it was nothing but he couldn’t walk on his own and I immediately thought Achilles tear.

When he stood up after the sack, walked and immediately sat back down you knew it was bad

This sucks for Rodgers and the Jets. I don't wish retirement on anyone but with the way he has been talking the last few years this could be the straw that broke the camels back. I hope he gives it another shot though as the talent is there for them to have some success. But this is the worst type of injury he could suffer especially at this stage in his career.

Worse part about this is they NEED rodgers to retire now. They can't trade him and cant cut him because his dead cap this year and next would blow the team up.

So he either needs to retire or stay on the payroll as a VERY expensive QB coach. All around bad situation

An MRI confirmed today that Aaron Rodgers officially tore his Achilles on the fourth play of his Jets’ career.

Rodgers’ season now, officially, is over. There already are questions about whether his Hall-of-Fame career is, too.

The defense got 4 turnovers and Zach could only muster 16 points

It's not even like the defense forced those turnovers. The first was Allen forcing it downfield into double coverage when he had a wide open lane to run for a first, the second was a bad throw into double coverage, the third was him staring down a WR and missing an easy throw to Diggs for a first, and the fumble was a botched snap that he panicked and ran with. He doesn't play like a bonehead the Bills win. Better QB's won't make those mistakes and force Zach to have to win the game. It'll be a repeat of last year.

Zach Wilson isn’t good but he has been in the system and he is still young enough to warrant another shot at this point. Just picking up a guy off the street and thrusting him into the starting lineup isn’t going to fix the offensive issues at this point. Just pound the rock and play lights out defense.

The decent person in me thinks this sucks, primarily for Jets fans that had a lot of their expectations for this year built around him.
