This is definitely fairer. I would argue with the collective wealth in this nation and the government's shrug on social services, the amount of money we spend on defense yet veterans can barely get aide, etc, I think we are near the top but don't realize it.

It's American AF to question where our tax dollars are going, so no complaints on that, but I just want to clarify that the government says is 100% factual. 50 billion aint shyt.

For context, the 2021 increase - not the total spending, just the YoY increase - in spending for the national services of Medicare & Medicaid was $1.6 trillion. If we decided against supporting Ukraine and instead transferred that money to Medicare/Medicaid, it would increase the YoY spending by only 3% and would account for less than a 1% increase in Medicare/Medicaid funding.
