israel isnt invading lebanon...

they are just responding to Hezbollah ramping up attacks..

before anybody says anything about it.... yes you could say israels existence and what they did in the past is what caused the issue in the first place....

but the current situation is Hezbollah upping their attacks...

Hezbollah's attacks are directly linked to Israel's war in Gaza

An invasion one Southern Lebanon (which they've down before) is not out of the question
With what army? They are tied up in Gaza and can't even handle that. If they try to go toe to toe with Hezbollah Israel will fall.
Israel is shifting focus to the north indicated that they will move move troops there

they have the capability to fight a two front war

Will they be successful against Hezbollah? unlikely imo

This has been a very smart and cunning plan by Israel and whoever else was involved but I can’t help but think how this is going backfire in the future.

Consumer products were either tapered with on the manufacturing floor or they figured out a way to remotely overheat the battery’s in these devices to cause them to explode. I’m leaning towards the former which is terrifying because to some degree the manufacturer was involved in this at some level.

Either way it’s all fun and games now to laugh at the other side until it’s done to us. A lot of our consumer electronics are made overseas. Who’s to say adversary’s won’t try the same against us?

That's not the only way it will backfire. They injured thousands of people (some terrorists, some innocent civilians) just to kill, what, 20-30 people? Not all of whom were terrorists?

This is going to create more hatred of Israel and more terrorism, not less.

So 2 kids killed, a bunch of civilians killed and hezbollah probably going to get more recruits. Israel dont target terrorist they target anybody who is a non-zionist.

This was a terrible failed attack and US needs to stop letting Israel drag the entire middle east into a war.

"Violence begats violence" has been known for millenia, and they're trying to gaslight us into thinking that it'll be different this time.

That's the crazy shyt - they think that injuring a bunch of terrorists is going to make them less aggressive? They think that attacks which kill civilians will make coexisting with Israel more palatable?

The people we're dealing with are extremists at a level that is incapable of evaluating anything beyond "My side Their side". They never look at the logical or verifiable results of their actions, they just keep doing the same thing over and over claiming it will eventually lead to a different result.

"The Jews made these devices themselves, mimicking ours".

The Jews cosplaying as the Chinese with bootleg pagers is not something I thought would go on the ol' 2024 Bingo Card. :mjlol:

Now Hezbollah has to figure out how they got tricked into a buying a crate load of boobytrapped pagers.

I mean.... longterm thinking.... this attack isnt going to make the population hate Israel less...

in the short term tho... dead/injured militants don't pose as much of a threat

There weren't even that many dead militants from this action, and "short term thinking" is the sort of idiocy that creates these permanent messes.

I would think an attack like this would be more about causing confusion and disarray among your enemy’s camp. No way you could truly trust your devices and equipment going forward if you’re Hezbollah.
