You all hyped up a major retaliation by Iran and it didn't pan out. Trump, for once, used his brain and didn't continue to escalate and things seem to be cooling off. Yet it seems like y'all wanted things to go back and forth like this is a fukking rap beef.

Iran spoke of attacking from within America, so there's that to consider. Densely populated cities would be good targets.

I think I see what you are getting at and that’s definitely the wrong answer here. Doing something like that would only strengthen his political agenda and popularity. It would ensure that the majority of the country would try to bring in the next guy that closely aligns with Trumps political views. It would be chaos.


Never mind the fact that the government can completely control the narrative in that situation because we won’t know all the facts. They can literally pin that crime on any group or affiliation that they want to.

But maybe I completely misinterpreted what you were saying and in that case ignore me.

Was just watching a four hour old stream from Al Jazerra network with Turkey’s PM and Iraq’s PM talking about deescalation. From the looks of the discussion, I’d say the US is gonna get forced out of the region collectively by the players there.

even the way Iran is approaching it, they said they only wanna target the American military machine, or equipment, while trump wants to attack cultural heritage sites.

I wish some other country in the big 5 UN members would talk down about all this action.

They want the US out the region but then will there even be peace? All the countries in the middle east have beef with another one it seems. For people that are all very similar, there's a lot of tension and mostly cuz of religious reasons. What's stopping them from destroying each other? Iran and Iraq been had beef and now they mourning the others generals when he led attacks against their people? Too much fukkery going on over there. The US leaving might not even be the solution to the problem.

Not shocking to me at all - the fact that everyone is acting shocked is surprising to me. I knew that is was a surface to air when the video surfaced. Truth be told, I'm not exactly sure if it was Iran who did the launching, if you know where I'm going with this. Things have a habit of going left (pearl harbor style, contras etc) when the US needs backup or an abject reason for intervention.

oh ok. There were a whole lot of defense contractors on Amtrak this morning in the diner car reviewing their presentations. I don't know why they thought that was a good idea but it was weird as shyt. Like they were rehearsing for something.
