Insane.
He’s literally wearing the same clothesI hope that's the right guy. Doesn't look exactly like the photo.
Need to pull his fingers off one at a time.
I guess the people watching and filming, and the police officer who walked by and watched her burning had no energy either. What is crazy about it? They were alone on the car until it pulled into the station.
She had no more energy to stop, drop, or roll after burning for a while.
a lot of this "why wouldn't they just" x sounds cute, but people have no real idea how to deal with any fire bigger than grease.I guess the people watching and filming, and the police officer who walked by and watched her burning had no energy either.
I think the issue is much bigger than this. The bystander affect and the need to grab a phone and film instead of doing something productive to help the situation, in my opinion is the issue.a lot of this "why wouldn't they just" x sounds cute, but people have no real idea how to deal with any fire bigger than grease.
once it gets to a certain point, the air will literally burn your lungs from the inside. and if someone is being doused with a fuel, you basically need to have a retardant literally on hand - for you and the person you're trying to help.
all this to say people on their morning commute shouldn't expect to be called on to be action heroes folks are asking too much
What is the average subway going joe going to do in this situation? The solution is to not allow these fukking schizos to be on the streets terrorizing folks just trying to go about their day. Round em up, and put em back in the asylums.I think the issue is much bigger than this. You are right nobody is expected to play the hero, but at some point common decency has to kick in…right?

Well if I saw someone on fire, within reason (ie not an out of control blaze) I would take off my shirt or jacket or whatever and start hitting at it. If I had a drink I'd pour it on their clothes. What is the average subway going joe going to do in this situation? Yep if they find out he’s an immigrant...The right is going to eat this up
I agree but the average person would be shell shocked.Well if I saw someone on fire, within reason (ie not an out of control blaze) I would take off my shirt or jacket or whatever and start hitting at it. If I had a drink I'd pour it on their clothes.
Whatever I could do to help and hopefully somone else would join in to help me
none of that is making a dent and probably making it worse. if someone is doused in a flammable liquid like that, you can't even throw a whole blanket on top of them to smother it out.Well if I saw someone on fire, within reason (ie not an out of control blaze) I would take off my shirt or jacket or whatever and start hitting at it.
