Pitino might get nabbed on lack of institutional control but I think his lack of knowledge on this is somewhat legitimate. There's no way he's throwing a bag of money at a kid he wasn't even recruiting at the time, when he's directly being looked at by the NCAA.

They even have the guys on tape saying they didn't go through head coaches because they make too much money and it's too risky.

Im a UofL alumni and Rick and Tom Jurich (the athletic director for UofL) should've been fired last year after the stripper scandal (among other scandals that rocked the University). UofL has had several controversies (and has even had their accreditation threatened) the past 3 years. So much so that the former president of the college, Jim Ramsey, had to resign. Pitino and Jurich shouldve gone with him just to clean house.

UNC is good. The way the Azibuke signing unfolded last cycle, I can see KU getting a call. Also, NC State and Dennis Smith was a done deal since he was a high school freshman. Everybody in the know already knew he was going to an adidas school. The only curve ball in this is everyone thought him and Bam was a package deal. Which begs you to wonder, UK must have came with a bigger bag to lure him away from adidas like that. This rabbit hole is about to get pretty deep.
