You remember when Dez owed some jeweler over $100, 000 and was in loan dept? That was when he had left Eugene Parker the first time and signed with Drew Rosenhaus. Drew Rosenhaus was loaning Dez money and Dez never paid him back. So, Jerry Jones and Eugene Parker helped Dez pay back the money he owed and Dez resigned back to Eugene Parker.

Eugene Parker knows that Dez blows thru his money. So, he put a limit on how much Dez can spend each quarter and he put the rest into a savings accounts for Dez. As where Dez can't touch that money until 10 years down the line. Same way how Allen Iverson agent saved him, with A.I. will get $15 mil when he turns 45.

The Dez and Deion fallout also comes back to this as well. Eugene Parker and Deion got Dez a $15 mil deal with Under Armour coming out of college. But Dez dumbass fukked it up by wearing Nike cleats during training camp. That made Deion like . Dez is hard head and don't want to listen.

One of the interesting subplots here is that owner and general manager Jerry Jones — who will be the one negotiating with Bryant's representatives — is reportedly not a fan of the switch.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Bryant went to Roc Nation "against the wishes" of Jones. Tim MacMahon is ESPN Dallas says that Bryant wanted to switch against this summer but was talked out of it by Jones.

Yahoo!'s Rand Getlin seconded those reports, saying, "One source indicated Jerry Jones may be reluctant to do a deal for Dez with Roc Nation Sports."

It's hard to believe Jones would let Bryant go over an agent. For all his faults and over-the-top persona, Jones does everything he can to win and he doesn't mind spending boatloads of money to do so.

Bryant is making $1.8 million this year. His new deal will likely pay him around the $12 million per year that the league's other top wide receivers make.

NFL contracts are not garanteed. So, it's best to get that endorsement money. Jerry is going to pay him no matter what.

Man, I have no clue like Dez getting that deal was a big deal considering all the negative press he had coming into the draft and he was already co starring in UA commercials. Dez changed his story and the Under Armour thing at first was their cleats were uncomfortable (but never relaying that to UA and just started appearing in Nikes) and after Deion stopped talking to Dez, Dez said Sanders was getting kickbacks from UA for the deal and since UA dropped Dez Sanders didn't get that check. Although......

Dez did end up signing with Jordan Brand sometime later tho so I guess it work out in the end. Although........


MJ had Dez in a 3 year 'good faith' endorsement deal and Dez didn't get paid the first year of it and the contract would have been voided if he got into any trouble and Dez credit's MJ for making him the mature man he is today. I never figured out the dollars involved to see if the JB deal was better than the 15 million deal UA was giving him but atleast JB cleats aren't hurting his feet. Although........
