Something happened with Dame and Jay, that has never been told. I truly believe that. There's been two times Bleek let shyt slip. One interview he said Dame said something to him that made him angry. Not no normal shyt, but above and beyond. He spoke to Jay about it and Jay says "Don't stress it. Soon, you'll never have to speak to that guy again" That's when Bleek said he first knew Roc was coming to an end. In another interview, Bleek actually says he tried to warn Dame the split was coming. Throw in that you planning that marketing meeting behind his back. Kevin Lyles clearly knew some shyt was going on and Dame was being cut out.

I say all that to say, you don't do that to someone and just call it business. That's your man, you built an empire with. You may not like his style, you may not even want to work with him ever again. Sometimes business and friends don't mix. Hell, you might not even want to be friends anymore. But after all that time, you'd think you wouldn't have to put plans and schemes in place, to hide the fact, that you didn't want to be involved anymore. It seems long before Dame knew, a lot of other people knew.

There's something behind that, that isn't just, oh he was yelling on dudes and looked bad for business. Jay could have done all the same things, without going behind his back. After that though, Dame is all at fault. Up to about 2 damn weeks ago, he's still shytting on Jay's name and dropping info and basically calling him out. I've seen Beans around Jay since their beef. Damn Biggs went with Dame, started a label, was dissed by Jay on dig a hole, and still cheesing at the Brunch, involved in several deals with Hov. I'm sure Hov is a forgiving guy. Wayne dissed his wife and he paying his taxes. This ain't a Jay-Z hate thread

I'm just saying, something went on there that really made him hate that guy. That ain't just business

That nikka dame probably got tight and violated jay to the point of no return..it really is just that:yeshrug:

He probably mentioned Nas/Cam/aaliyah/and any other personal shyt that would make jay go:mjcry:

We all know Dame got that ability to make nikkas catch feelings...And he has no red light..he will keep going..:lolbron:

Jay probably knew within circles that no one really wanted to fukk with dame and used it to his advantage..

Biggs seem like a cool laid back type..So I'm sure they could get on the same page quickly...

A nikka like jay gonna make dame kiss the pinky ring with interest..:francis:

My point never changed, you just didn't get it because you got sensitive for no reason! This was my first post in this thread:
"because you didn't grow up when hip hop had that rebellious spirit, and went to awards dressed how they want to dress, but why aren't they being creative while still looking stylish....Instead of making the world like them, they are appeasing the world to get likes"

No one got emotional. You said two things that were flat out lies and keep jumping over them like you didn’t say them:

1. That I didn’t grow up when Hip Hop had a rebellious spirit.

2. No one was wearing suits in Hip Hop.

Both are false. Admit that.

My first Hip Hop album was The Fat Boys. I was around for the movies Breakin and Beat Street. I was around when Rob Base was on the radio and MCs had the words “base, ski and coke” in their names as codes to say they were around the drug game.

I remember YO MTV Raps and Fab 5 Freddy. I remember when Rakim came on the scene and blew our minds. I remember Bally Animal shoes and Kangols. You’re talking to me like I wasn’t a kid in the 80s dying for some parachute pants and some Adidas or Pumas before Nike really mattered.

And rebellious spirit.

:russ:

You know how many young brehs I knew that got locked up or killed before we got out of high school on that rebel shyt? Too many. I was around crack dealers. My aunt was a trafficker and did time and Hip Hop was a huge influence at the time. I remember this shyt well.

I remember seeing Colors and knowing the game was about to change. Every young breh at school knew “I am a nightmare walking... psychopath talking... king of my jungle just a gangster stalking...”

We used to beat on the bleachers and rap. I used to draw characters and graffiti on dope dealers jeans for money when I was 11 or 12. Breh... you’re acting like I grew up in some far away land untouched by Hip Hop. I’m not being sensitive, I’m saying you’re wrong.

WE HAVE ANOTHER bytch WHO CAN'T COMPREHEND WHAT HE READS!:wow:

I'm not talking about the music, I'm talking about the culture. HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO KEEP TYPING THE SAME shyt!

Yall nikkas aint nothing but women trapped in mens bodies, because you are arguing with me just to do it, because you are not even responding to what I wrote, you are responding to how you FEEL about what I wrote.

Those same drug dealers got their style from the cool hip hop heads, and they had money so they could buy certain clothes, and jewelry. The style itself came from hip hop heads. Do you know the difference in being stylish, and buying expensive things?

Most of yall must have never seen how hip hop changed things, and you are getting your info from reading, so you are just repeating what you heard, you never saw it!
U really are a dumbass rappers tried to dress and style themselves after drug dealers not the other way around

1-My direct quotes to you:

"You are another one who isn't hip hop, because you still don't get it."

"I never said don't wear suits I said you shouldn't feel the need to do it because you are supposed to!"

My first post you replied to:
"All these guys look like they are trying to emulate the white guys above them with all the suits...... but why aren't they being creative while still looking stylish"

"Looking at them explains why hip hop is not what is used to be, they lost that spirit when they got money. Instead of making the world like them, they are appeasing the world to get likes. I can see Jay-Z is getting his spirit back, though, but is it too late?"

2-Rebellious spirit isn't just about doing crime:what:

Forget it, because you keep making up stuff I said, even when I continue to show you what I originally said. I said multiple times you are EITHER not hip hop, OR you FORGOT what the energy is.

Again, my direct quote: "I said if you have money & power, you can dress how you want, so why are they only wearing suits that are more closely to their higher ups, then some dapper dan fly shyt or something they put together themselves that show they are the shyt?"

You can't admit you are wrong, which is sad. Aint no hate, but I wish yall would actually comment on what I post, and not what you want the post to mean

You are really going this low to prove your point, when you know damn well what I mean?:gucci:

But, lets use the literal definition:
the definition of rebellious
rebellious
[ri-bel-yuhs]

adjective
defying or resisting some established authority, government, or tradition; insubordinate; inclined to rebel.
pertaining to or characteristic of rebels or rebellion.
(of things) resisting treatment; refractory.

All of this just so you won't have to admit you jumped up defending something that was never said:umad:

Bruh...

You do know that Run DMC was the first big rap group to not dress like a funk band and brought in the drug dealer look, right. I can back this up if need be. Also Rakim dressed like a drug dealer (in Dapper Dan) because he was down with Supreme.

You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Like I said, you forgot that hip hop spirit and just repeating what everyone else is saying, because Run-Dmc didn't emulate 80's "drug dealers", they were emulating the hip hop heads on the streets, that is why they were so loved, they looked like US! The one thing you can say came from big willy drug dealers were the big chains, and other jewelry, but the actual clothes were nothing like 80's drug dealers who were big time. People who dealt drugs, for real, in the 80's looked like Slick Rick without all the jewelry, and some did wear it like him, in the late 80's.

The early-mid 80's, career drug dealers wore silk suits, and stuff like that, they used to laugh at hip hop people because NO ONE dressed like that except for inner city kids who had no money like them. It was the late 80's when people were emulating big time drug dealers, because that is when crack was getting everyone paid, so that is why that is the only time you can say that. But, hip hop is not just 1986-1990! It's a reason it stopped from 1992-1996, everyone started getting locked up, and coming home to no money or very little of it. Once east coast rappers realized playing the big time drug dealer was helping sell records(thanks to Nas & Biggie who both copied Jay-Z), we been on that page ever since!

And you are bringing up decepts when they used to ROB drug dealers.and anyone who wanted it!:dwillhuh:

AND, why are you changing the narrative from Drug dealers to a criminal gang?:comeon:

And that Run-Dmc picture is from the late 80's, not when they first came out. Again, you forgot!

I guess what I'm saying is... Men shouldn't have signs and readings of walls. Step to that man and say "you're fukking bad for business and I want to split from you ASAP" and then do as you said.

Don't pop up on a nikka you was down with, for decades, with a take it or leave it offer, after you plotted this move for months and years...

One way is good business with a bad friend. The other is just bad all around

You definitely sound like someone who has never run a business. Esp one involving close friends/relatives. Some people just don't listen. I'm sure Jay told Dame to chill and fall back more than once. I'm sure he asked him about the company finances being mismanaged. I'm sure Dame didn't listen. I'm sure Jay wasnt about to have an argument with this egotistical nikka over HIS business. I'm sure Jay saw Dame looking out for his best interests and decided to do the same.

This nikka stealing money and girls. Jay didn't owe him a sit down and explanation. Like Kevin liles told Dame " TAKE CARE OF YOUR BUSINESS nikka"

I'm not a fan of Jay at all but I def understand why he did Dame the way he did. It's over a decade later and this nikka Dame STILL hasn't accepted responsibility for or admitted his wrongdoings in business. Thats not a nikka you explain shyt to, you just get away from him and let reality hit him when he has no one else to blame or piggy back

@Brolic Scholar I don't know where you're from, but this is how black people in NYC dressed that were hip hop, not drug dealers(big time), and why Run-DMC were so loved, they represented the black streets of NYC on TV, and music!

That's why i say Hip hop is really black american NYC culture in the 70's- early 90's(Caribbean added some of their touch in the 80's-90's & west coast/the south also added their touch in the 90's). When we changed, you can see the changes in hip hop, both the music & culture!
