Something happened with Dame and Jay, that has never been told. I truly believe that. There's been two times Bleek let shyt slip. One interview he said Dame said something to him that made him angry. Not no normal shyt, but above and beyond. He spoke to Jay about it and Jay says "Don't stress it. Soon, you'll never have to speak to that guy again" That's when Bleek said he first knew Roc was coming to an end. In another interview, Bleek actually says he tried to warn Dame the split was coming. Throw in that you planning that marketing meeting behind his back. Kevin Lyles clearly knew some shyt was going on and Dame was being cut out.

I say all that to say, you don't do that to someone and just call it business. That's your man, you built an empire with. You may not like his style, you may not even want to work with him ever again. Sometimes business and friends don't mix. Hell, you might not even want to be friends anymore. But after all that time, you'd think you wouldn't have to put plans and schemes in place, to hide the fact, that you didn't want to be involved anymore. It seems long before Dame knew, a lot of other people knew.

There's something behind that, that isn't just, oh he was yelling on dudes and looked bad for business. Jay could have done all the same things, without going behind his back. After that though, Dame is all at fault. Up to about 2 damn weeks ago, he's still shytting on Jay's name and dropping info and basically calling him out. I've seen Beans around Jay since their beef. Damn Biggs went with Dame, started a label, was dissed by Jay on dig a hole, and still cheesing at the Brunch, involved in several deals with Hov. I'm sure Hov is a forgiving guy. Wayne dissed his wife and he paying his taxes. This ain't a Jay-Z hate thread

Agree with all of this but just to play "devil's advocate" (double entendre don't even ask me how) something to consider as far as Jay having to keep Beyonce away from Dame, remember that Jay is the same guy that had to keep Sean Paul away from Beyonce as well. Remember all the talk around the "Baby Boy" video where the rumors were that Sean Paul didn't appear in any scenes with Beyonce because he didn't trust him? So part of this MIGHT be Jay being a little overprotective and assuming people are coming after his girl when that may not necessarily be the case. Just throwing that out there as something to consider, not as a definitive statement by any means.

All Dame had to do was just man up to his mistakes of The Roc crumbling and humble himself.

There's no doubt Jay would had welcomed him back into open arms but Dame's arrogance and pride just destroyed that chance.

Also that recent video of him with Nick Cannon being chatty Patty about Jay and Foxy probably didn't help matters either.

thing is, they had a moment. in like 2013, i believe. took a flick, seemed to at least be at peace. then the next time you hear dame is on the breakfast club insinuating jay is an agent on some "i dont wanna be next to a dude like that til he answer questions about..." and that been his energy until he started with that foxy shyt recently and then this backhanded apology is his way of tryna extend the olive branch? is he that fukked up he dont even know how to apologize? if so, im still fine with that, the biggs apology and even the jim jones. the steve stoute one is peculiar and the lyor one is down right crazy. he hates that dude and went on a full smear/exposal campaign on this dude and he just woke up and he wrong?

Yea, cats have been running with that since the split. We’ll never know what happened with the jay-dame split unless these two sit down and hash it out in front of the world to see. I’m quite sure that they’ve both got their own version of the story and the truth is in the middle.
