I said if you have money & power, you can dress how you want, so why are they only wearing suits that are more closely to their higher ups, then some dapper dan fly shyt or something they put together themselves that show they are the shyt? It's hard to express if you never seen it before. I grew up seeing this shyt, its not me talking how I feel. I watched brothers get money, and changed the dress code of the lames who got money, and wanted be like their boss. you are a prime example because before hip hop people were not dressing like the picture you have. HIP HOP made that change! I'm not talking about the music, I'm talking about the culture which is an energy. You should know this if you were born in 1978. BEFORE timbs, and Avirex, we got fly in Clarks, wallabies, gucci shoes, travel fox, and more. You just showed you only got into this shyt in the 90's when nikkas was fronting how hard they were, so they looked dusty. Not all, lo-lifes always stayed fresh, but would bust ya head open!
They are another example of what I mean. They took that rebellious hip hop spirit, and now have the WHOLE WORLD trying to get fly wearing Ralph Lauren. Before them, that was not even a look for the average ghetto child. Then they put pieces together to look better then the people who made the pieces, IMAGINED. IT WAS THAT HIP HOP SPIRIT!
I understand if you work for someone, you don't come to work like that, but when you are outside, do your own thing with style. You don;t do it because you are trying to be like the young boys. or to show others you are an adult, you do it to express who you are at that moment.
So, again, why dress like you are "supposed" to, if you are the one who is the tastemaker?
