His playoff run was overrated last year. He was effective against the bucks only. His low center of gravity allowed him to take giannis body blows and he hit some timely corner 3s.

He can't guard quick perimeter players. He can't put the ball on the floor. His 3 pointer is inconsistent. Not tall enough to guard post players.

He can only play on certain matchups

Why doesn’t he play anymore? Went from big piece last year to completely out of rotation
Trying to decrease his value. Celtic want to keep him long term. With the extensions for brown and Tatum coming they want to keep as many pierces as they can.

It’s a dirtbag move by the front office. Lesser franchises get killed for stuff like this to players. But not the Celtics

Arenas spoke on this in general awhile back.

But this does feel dirty for a dude who been in the top 9 for a minute now. Can't find 15m in the conf. Finals? 👂 you.

The Celtics are trying to win the championship and you think they're purposely sitting a player who could help? The Celtics aren't trying to throw a championship away because they're trying to secure Grant Williams :skip:

He didn't play well in the beginning of the year and Mazz basically has buried him on the bench for stretches.

Hauser played well in the beginning and had a rough stretch and hasn't seen minutes since then.

He gave Pritchard minutes for what reason? He barely played all year.

Mazz does Mazz things.

yup this is a guy who plays hard nose defense, and has that corner 3. Avg 26mpg in the regular season but can't get burn in the playoffs?

yeah it’s clearly a salary/value issue between him and the Celtics.

If it wasn’t, the. why would they try to trade him
for basically almost the same player in JaeSean Tate. Because Tate is locked up for the next couple of season on a cheap salary aav of 7 mill.

I understand it but it’s still a dirtball move. Dallas did the same thing to Christian Wood. It’s fukked up because both players are trying to secure their first big contract and this might be their only big contract before they become mle and vet targets

NBA teams do shyt like this all the time trying to tank a player's value so they can get them at a bargain in free agency.

Is Williams a UFA or a RFA?

grant williams played 79 games in the reg season playing more than half of every nba game. Was 7th in minutes on a 57 win team but in the playoffs can't get burn?

sam hauser has played in more games this playoffs than grant williams

You can tell y'all don't watch the Celtics lol

Dude had a decent first 15 games of the season. Then after that he completely fell off a cliff. Couldn't hit a 3 point shot at all, completely unable to take people off the dribble when people would close out on him, caused so many turnovers

On top of that his defense tanked too. Missed defensive assignments, flopping, fouling 24/7

So he got buried on the bench. Simple. Dude hasn't been consistently productive since Game 7 of the 2nd round against the Bucks last year

Y'all always looking for an agenda :dead:is
