Ariza got 17 mill for a year and pingetting close to that so he’s definitely right about the market for his services but only contenders can afford(competitively) to pay that price. It would be foolish for a rebuilding or middling team to give him that.i laughed but dorian finney smith is getting paid 15 mill a season
Is there another bench player, single digit who got that? (Not including people who fell off after the contract).
I’ve got to admit I don’t watch Boston that much, minus big games, so the stats might not serve as an honest basis for judgment.
Thanks breh — this is exactly what I’m thinking. But it's not real until the people who actually watch the games confirm your sentiments.Other #CelticsGang brehs can chime in but alot of us are laughing at this contract request
Let's get real for a sec. Seeing a 40% stat from 3 is misleading. It was because the first 20-25 games he was hitting from an insane clip and couldn't miss. But after that stretch he has been terrible once teams adjusted to him at the 3 point line. Ever since teams started to running him off the 3 point line, his numbers have been terrible across the board. It's just that the first 20-25 games have propped up his average
That's him in a nutshell, inconsistent, inconsistent, and inconsistent. So many games he'll have 0 points, 2 rebounds, and 5 fouls. Alot of times he's a net negative on the court. Every big game Celtics had this season, he's been a no show
And to mention his Game 7 against the Bucks in 2022 as a saving grace is misleading. Celtics played 2 more rounds after that, what did he do then? Exactly
Marc Stein:
The Celtics, to no one's surprise, did not trade Grant Williams. Making minor tweaks was the understandable preference for the defending Eastern Conference champions when they ranked as the league's only team with a win total in the 40s entering Monday's play. Yet rumbles persist that various teams are monitoring the situation and curious about Williams’ future there. Williams is poised to become a restricted free agent this summer and said to be seeking a contract in the Keldon Johnson-in-San Antonio, $20-million-annually range.
