This is another article that doesn't do the stats but instead focuses on how those stats end up happening - mostly it seems because police departments just don't want to both with rape cases. The perp in the story was a college kid who was a serial rapist who now appears to have already committed violent rape at least 20 times. Some of his victims reported, had serious injuries, knew the ID...and nothing happened.

And to no surprise to anyone nobody on tv is bring up the huge elephant in the room holding the big red flag, and that's her being "assaulted" 2 seperate times and then "raped" the 3rd time.
