Is this from a reputable source or random person with a twitter account babbling?

Edit: Looking at this chick's past tweets on Twitter i doubt she had any expertise on the matter outside of taking selfies on her balcony in Miami beach and bragging about "traveling" and trying to get attention on twitter.
It's the Coli. Don't you know these fukking idiots think random twitters are a valid source. :mjlol: Just look at her name. Screams credible right?

To the morons on here though a bird's babbling words is law. :gucci:

:mjtf: I wouldn't have gone back into that place at all..what they mean "that could cjange" should've been changed:gucci:

How the fukk do you step foot in the “sister building” unless it’s to get your shyt?

I think they mean "sister building" is the one that is a block away and considered the Champlain North Tower condo. I'd be a little nervous living in that North building with what happened at the South building. Same builder for both buildings.

I studied engineering and work in construction. I could tell you right now the way that building fell all at once was due to differential settlement in the soil which is very dangerous. If the whole building is slowly sinking all at once not a problem because all the loads are still being transferred into the ground uniformly. Reinforced concrete will give you many many noticeable signs before a sudden failure. The thing with soil is that its properties could change so much even 50 feet away that's why they haven't evacuated the sister building.

I don't understand this last sentence.

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
I mean, so people didn't feel the building wobbling or unstable prior to it collapsing?

It's hard to think that even with lower foundation sinking/damage, there would be multiple indicators that some bad shyt was coming soon.

How did that bytch not fall or wobble during the last high wind day?

Oh, you do have a point. You’re not completely wrong. But Capitalism is capitalism no matter which party it is. When you have an economy that’s heavily reliant on tourism, and real estate\summer homes, then you’re gonna have scumbags who cut corners for the bottom dollar. What were the political affiliations of the whistleblowers when it came to condo development in Surfside Fl?

Is the condo collapse a global warming issue, or was it just a shoddy inspector issue? If it was the former, than there’s a deeper political discussion to be had regarding climate change denial by asshats like Governor Deshytty. But there’s no intelligent politics discourse in this thread. It’s shytty dapfishing and memeing and speculation. It’s just hard for the coli not to make the biggest of stretches about things they have no fukkin clue about. A lot of the dumb fukkin shyt in this thread can be invalidated. I’ve been on this forum long enough to gauge dapfishing vs serious political discourse. And it’s easy to know who’s actually properly informed about the states and cities in which they speak on.. Florida is a hurricane prone state for one, so the “build quality” in the state is stricter than most, since many parts of the state are at mother nature’s mercy. And given the fact that it’s one of the fastest growing states, a huge chunk of the state was developed after Hurricane Andrew in 1992, when building codes were significantly upgraded. Every now and again, you may have incidents like sinkholes in certain areas and shoddy building, but for the most part you can’t even construct a small school or even a church without passing state inspections. Of course, it varies city to city based on the local economy and the demand for more development. The barrier islands of Miami being heavily reliant on tourism, real estate, and having so much development already you can see how certain problems would be ignored due to time constraints, demand, and ultimately the bottom dollar. More will come out as we wait. Again, we have whole cities that are sinking and facing their own infrastructure problems in red and blue controlled states. The oversimplification of “Well, this is just what happens in red states” is just unfortunate.
I agree it’s not a red/ blue issue but there is a large difference in approach. We should have an honest discourse but we’ve seen too many times what the GOP playbook is to protect doing the least. Global warming or just plain capitalism.

Red states will blame alternative energy like windmills for government, capitalism failures. Flint didn’t happen because a responsible government took time to develop a plan. The a bunch of politicians but capitalism over the safety of poor citizens. Mostly the GOP fights hard to limit liabilities and payouts in favor of their wealthy corporations and investors.
