Just finished my first class! :blessed:

@Mowgli should’ve listened to you from the jump :wow:

shyt is no jokes brehs. Just doing the warmups had me winded like a motherfukka.

Should have brought a notepad with me to take notes of all the different techniques. Learned how to do a double leg takedown, the ‘seat belt’, learned how to reverse a guard, Learned how to go from a mount to an armbar.

Started sparring with a cac..he was cool as hell tho. He was teaching me the whole time we was sparring. shyt was embarrassing how he was doing that while using minimal strength :mjlol:

He tought me how when I’m in the mount position to plant my fist into his chest, grab his other wrist, stand up with my back straight up, grab both his legs and push towards the other way to get his back (:dame:)

Class full of cacs and it was just me and two other ‘brehs’ :mjpls:

More of us need to get into it. This shyt official

yup. the culture allows you to get a lot out of it. You have high intensity with a lower risk for injury. Just tap early and leave your ego in the car. Best thing for new students to learn is survival and defense. This is what make you a tough opponent later because opponents get frustrated with people they cant dominate

Personally I like to earn my top positions. Don't really like starting from dominant position unless im trying to work attacking specifically.

Sad cats think the Jiujitsu push is troll. Yall better be learning how to grapple, asap. And teaching your cousins, asap. At least how to avoid being taken down and how to get back to your feet if you do get taken down.

The gi is going to melt you. If you want to keep your size you may have to up your calories if youre training 3 days or more per week.

Thanks for the advice. I finally reached 180 and i would hate to go back down in weight. I want to weightlift on the days I don’t go to class to build a solid frame.

Overall though thanks for putting me on. I want to stick with it and not burnout like most people do within the first 6 months. Any videos you recommend me watching as a beginner?

3days a week minimum for. Best results.

Yes keep your calories up. U will be lean as hell quickly doing this.

Id advise listening to your teacher and doing what he says. Don't get to many online masters. You may start ignoring your coach. Learn his system and you will develop your own..

Search for videos specifically addressing something you are challenged with it want to do.

The 3 books u called me one a while ago were essential for me. Besides that just train and muscle memory will do the rest. Doing better than reading.

Don't feel a way about being the token bruh... We usually the token in most niche hobbies.

Just ordered 2 Jiu Jitsu Gi’s on Amazon :takedat:

I’m all in baby :blessed:

Funny thing happened today(not really funny), my girl told me how her ex hopped out on her in the street while she was on her way home and was disrespecting her(verbally)

Can’t wait till i cross paths with him, I’m knocking his teeth then snap his fukking ACL :banderas:
