I am certain you don't even understand what Horseshoe theory asserts if you think this is a counter.

Horseshoe theory itself asserts that those in the middle have more in common with each other than they do with the extreme left and right.

Nothing you've said refutes this. :skip:

Yea, you're an idiot. Hotshoe theory isn't criticising people for merely shifting their messaging.

It just points out what happens when the messaging and methods of the extreme left and right have more in common than the middle positions.

It doesn't make him a fascist, but he's echoeing the same talking points as fascist (Putin), by Blaming the US AND UKRAINE, for Russia's actions.

Put the tequila down amigo. :picard:

Horseshoe theory asserts that those in the middle have more in common than they do with the extreme left yes...and if we were to look at commonalities in messaging and methods, we should ignore the biggest media consumed by the ideologies in question?

But Nap's threads show lefty hypocrisy? The Jimmy Dore one, the Glenn Greenwald one, or the Lefty Grifters one? :mjlol: . Majority of lefties disavow those fools the same way you would like to disavow NYT and CNN. Even for the same reasons...greed and ratings.

And the problem with claiming Lula is echo'ing Putin is that Lula doesn't limit the blame to Biden and Ukraine. He includes Putin as part of the problem. He may not be saying "Putin is a super villain" but he's not offering up Putin as justified.

Sober tonight, but I'll be sipping Casamigos tomorrow...so if I post tomorrow night, that shyt doesn't count

One can only hope. :francis:

It probably isn't going too far to say that this is the most important election in the world at least until 2024. I can't think of a country as powerful as Brazil that's holding elections where the differences between the candidates are so stark and the impact on the rest of the world is so significant.

Kind of the point. You're the one that pointed to centrists and NY times and cnn, but this article was written by a Brazilian whose major policy positions are universal healthcare and basic income. He's also been a critic of many parts of Bolsonaro's term.

:manny:

Lula's position regarding Ukraine is wrong no matter how you try and spin it.

Hopefully he wins. I look forward to what people call on him to do with his regained power.

The right can’t govern. Not only are they usually socially inept but you can’t eat patriotism and nationalism especially when real crisis arise. Those things are ideologies at the end of the day and there was never really any substance to them outside of the short term.

That’s why when right wing governments rise I’m never truly worried unless they have actual military might behind them. Otherwise they flail and embarrass themselves out of power.

But let's get back to that Horseshoe....

:Royumad:
Lula didn't say anything right-wing at all. You're brain poisoned by popular centrist media hot takes.
Is he supporting Bolsa Bozo yet?
Are you asking if Noam Chomsky is supporting Bolsanaro?
Why would you ask that>
