very woody but doesn't know whether to be serious or comedy..

subpar,.

That's what lets it down IMO. The dialogue wasn't over-the-top and exploitative enough, to overlay what was to come in the third act. All the "serious" shyt didn't really work, at all.

I liked it, even if i couldn't fully ignore the plothole that he could have just gotten away cleanly. His motivations are never explained and I was expecting some sort of payoff as to why he didn't, but it never came. Still Vince Vaughnn was great in this and i was never bored for a second.

Most of the last 20 min are so brutal they make that scene from Bone Tomahawk look like a Disney movie. Really loved the old school music too.

I'm still in on S Craig Zahler, his next movie sounds dope too

Just watched it. I thought the cop was wrong when he said that. If the cops were waiting for them right outside the dock they probably also were prepared to catch them if they fleed by water. I took Vince going back for the guys he did the job with as "fukk it, I'm not getting away free, I'm going to jail, I might as well get these guys that fukked up this job and went against my advice"

Movie was crazy and went in a direction that you didn't see coming. I really thought boxing was gonna end up being a big part of the plot when the guard was talking to him about it over and over.

Forgot I posted on this thread. I finally saw it, 5 years later.

It’s worth a watch, but something I won’t revisit. Little underwhelmed because I thought it was completely action fukkery. Great soundtrack.

Massive plot hole with who dropped a dime on them and why they wanted Vaughn’s character since he got fukked over. Plus how Eleazor ended up in jail too. Let’s not act like the jefe really have a shyt about homie getting offed.
