Wow, it's crazy the series from HQ Mid to just Mid.

77 on metacritic, a lot of grinding and ugly art style. Nothing spectacular story wise....pass

I loved the first game. The best parts were the battle system and job system were top notch. The difficulty and balancing was perfect. Really just an awesome evolution of old scholl jrpgs.

I've only played an hour of this one so far I'm hoping all that from the first game still holds up.

But man the style of the character models is not good. It is cool how the look of them change depending on the job they have equipped. They're fine on the map and in battle but they look stupid in cut scenes.

I love the art style of the backgrounds though.

The English voice acting is bafflingly bad. The one main character has a fukking atrocious Scottish accent. One of the bad guys has an Australian accent.

So yea I think I'll try out the Japanese voice acting.

I'm having fun with this. The battle system in this and Octopath Traveler are very similar to each other, but it's a typical JRPG.
