The media has been waiting for this chance to trash Tite for years. It hasn’t even been 24 hours and the knives are out.

It’s a cold world.

“Neymar and Tite’s Seleção is the team that represents the CBF, a private organization that’s involved in a lot of corruption. They don’t represent me as a Brazilian.”

“Romário says that Tite hinders the Seleção and that Guardiola is the best option.”

“Mauro Cezar blames Tite for second place finish in Copa América. “ He was the worst in Brazil.”

Tite hasnt done anything different in his tenure since the World Cup. He played a midfield trio of Casemiro, Fred and Paqueta? That’s so defensive-minded and nothing like Brazilian football.

Id like to see Raphinha from Leeds get called up, hes a true right winger and could play that position for the NT for years

Richarlyson or Firmino also have to be starting up top and have to do better

Richarlison should not be starting for Brazil imo.

Richarlison is a bum and Firmino don’t score goals

And defensive minded midfields have been Brazil’s tactic since the 90s.

The reality is Brazil doesn’t have elite attacking talent. It sucks to realize that, but they don’t and haven’t for a very long time.

Yall are right about Richy. But Brazil in past tournaments have always had balanced squads, and top attacking talent up top.

Tite just got it completely wrong in this tournament. Should’ve played a striker and Neymar as attacking mid alongside Fabinho/Casemiro and Fred. Paquetá for Fred in the second half.

We’re too used to having it good to now only having Neymar as the only star. Not too long Coutinho and him were balling in the qualifiers :mjcry:

Richarlison might be the most limited forward I've seen in a minute, the fact Tite pretty much accommodated the whole team around him in the second half so he wouldn't have to sub his ass and damn near had Neymar playing wing-back at one point to assist him is crazy.

Also, these full-backs are looking suspect as hell. After the game, Di María said he was told Brazil's left-back tends to sleep while marking :russ: and Renan was acting tight recently when he was called out on it, said he was learning a lot about defense under Simeone... shyt, you clearly ain't learned enough.

hasn’t Brazil always had a work rate midfield like Klopp Liverpool, and left the creative shyt to the forwards?

I believe Pep hinted that the Brazil job was interesting to him. It might just have been some nice words but I remember reading something like that.

Ever since Pep hinted at the possibility of training Brazil, pundits and journos havent shut up about it. It's like he's the second coming, when actually he overthinks a lot of the matches in the later stages of the competitions and makes the same mistakes past Brazil managers have done. Personally I dont want him or any other foreign manager training us.

Brazil was never a squad or nation that liked to press their opponent like Pep or Klopp's style of play, basically because this modern football trend hasn't really arrived in Brazil (or because Brazilian managers havent been capable or competent of applying this way of play), which is why the country has fallen behind in the football world, we havent been playing our individualistic samba style of football that we are so known for, nor adapted to the current collective style of play, we're stuck in some kind of football limbo that Tite is trying to get us out of. I wouldn't even say we're like England who have so much quality on the bench but a nutcase manager that refuses to play offensively because that isnt the case, we have a very limited team in terms of top quality, hell Everton Cebolinha in for a suspended Gabriel Jesus could have been the deciding factor in that game because the Man City man is in fact a much better player than Cebolinha.

On Richarlison, he isnt some Ronaldo or Romario and not even an Adriano but he could do a job up top, he's got the physicality but needs polishing in other departments, but that's really the only position I can see him playing. He will be playing in the Olympic team and it'll be his chance to shine.
