Is there even a point? Folks who fukk with their music are way too old to be sitting on instagram all night participating in this. And the younger crowd probably have no clue who these people are.

Even with the DMX/Snoop one alot of the younger folks didn't even recognize half the songs being played.

all the matchups have been people who ran the mid-late 90's-00's. teddy riley vs babyface and jill vs badu are two that did major #'s while appealing to an even older demographic than brandy/monica

i didnt realize Monica was so slept on. I was talking to friends yesterday and they acted like she dont belong in the same breath as Brandy...im trying to understand where the fukk they were in the 90s...we the same damn age and I recall Monica beasting along with Brandy

music wise, yea, but brandy had a much higher profile across the industry. she had a show, did movies, was an industry darling and taken under the wing of whitney, i feel like brandy was promoted to older audiences more, and then she also had the more bubblegum/clean image as opposed to Monica's "miss thang" image. then when aaliyah came back with one in a million, i also feel that pushed monica further behind brandy as aaliyah and brandy were bigger pop icons

In trems of who has the best album it's a toss up between Monica's Miss Thang and Brandy's Afrodisiac but overall Brandy has by a distance for me. Monica's releases after her first are pretty forgettable, whereas Brandy continued to drop bombs her new album is decent too.
