dudes in here buggin. cant seperate the celebrity from the music.
got somebody in here saying brandy can play the moesha theme and something from cinderella. alot of people weighing in, arent really in touch with r&b.
the breakfast club, charlemagne in particular, broke it down perfectly.

Monica got hits that resonate with the current generation, on top of what she had in the 90’s.
basically the ig crowd will be in Monica’s favor.
yea, that seems to be going ignored in all of this, but that right there is whats gonna make this a no-contest.
the younger crowds, that are a majority on this, kinda grew up on monica as well, to a lesser extent, while brandy would come back out every now & again, just to drops some lukewarm chit.
great point you made.
i always had monica ahead of brandy, but once you get into the 2000s, brandy doesnt even stand a chance.
Is there even a point? Folks who fukk with their music are way too old to be sitting on instagram all night participating in this. And the younger crowd probably have no clue who these people are.
Even with the DMX/Snoop one alot of the younger folks didn't even recognize half the songs being played.
i dont see what youre getting at.
monica & brandy prolly the youngest artists to battle on verzus.
and what young people are you speaking of??
young people out here sampling monica, who never stopped droppin hits. she just had something on the radio earlier this year.
and brandy is brandy/moesha.
Yeah them singing live would tip the scales in Brandy's favor.
Monica can sing very well no doubt, but she's not as diverse as Brandy is. Brandy has waaaaay more range. There's a reason they called her "The Vocal Bible"
That being said, I prefer Monica's music to Brandy's even though they both got classics
ive never heard anyone claim that brandy was a better vocalist than monica, ever.
not even brandy stans.
