I'm in South Africa and I did not know she was performing, there only story in the news about that concert was that they promised and R.kelly performance which did not happen.

I was there. 40k sounds about right not 40. The event was never promoted as a concert tbh, just soccer and rugby all in one venue. Anyway, on her own, Brandy wouldn't be able to get a crowd of 10k in 2013 around here. Snoop struggled to get 6k but that was down to his stupid name change. In 2013, Out of all the black stars, only Jay-Z, Beyonce and maybe Lil Wayne could fill out that stadium very quickly. Rihanna is performing in October and she has sold 70k so far.

The American R&B star was a surprise guest at the Nelson Mandela Sport and Culture Day, held at the 90,000-capacity FNB stadium in Soweto. Although tens of thousands of people filled the arena for football and rugby matches, including a game pitting South African football legends against Italian masters such as Emiliano Salvetti and Marco Ballota, the audience trickled out during the music segment. After performances by David Jenkins, Elvis Blue, Salif Keita and D'Banj, there was almost no one left for Brandy.
