The entire event was really a sports day (Mandela Day) with a concert added at the end. RKelly's whack ass was supposed to close the event but he left the country a week earlier with the~ $200k that he was paid.
About 65k tickets were sold at prices that most soccer fans (mostly black people -people who know who she is) never pay for soccer events; At the end of the night, ~40k people were left. They had 2 soccer matches in the afternoon with rubgy and the concert at the end. Some people left after the rugby while some people went to another African champions league match at another stadium 3 miles away + it was a freezing night in Johannesburg.
