What's hurting the inner city communities is the lack of economic resources, not music.

Why dudes in Ladera Heights ain't killing each other?

:ohhh:

Fam, ask yourself why the majority of mainstream rap over the last two decades have not had a positive message in it?

Why are these record labels putting the majority of their marketing budgets towards these types of songs when the majority of our hoods don't reflect that shyt.

You see absolutely nothing wrong with old white/Jewish men pushing an excess of sex and materialism?

If that was exclusive to Hip Hop I would call it out with ferocity.

That is a problem that spans multiple genres and entertainment mediums, white and black.

I don't like songs that have drugs mentioned in them. It promotes the drug. When I was in hs and molly was mentioned in every song, people were taking those pills at parties, during their free time, and at school. I saw one guy (a freshmen) take one during class. I think he did it for the attention. I hope that they won't start trying cocaine because of this song.

You must not be aware of all the drug raps in the 80s and 90s :mjlol:

Honestly it's pretty pathetic that this is what passes for Hip Hop. I feel bad for the young generation who won't get put onto Tribe, De La, 3rd Bass, Souls of Mischief, etc

Instead these young f*cks are left with trash like this:

No disrespect breh. But I think your age is showing and you have mentally checked out out hip hop at this point

So is every other genre of music. But why is rap music, the genre that we listen to predominately, constantly had these same themes.

Because many of the creators of the songs come from poverty.

Do you expect Chief Keef to write a song like Letter to the President?

Some of the greatest minds black people ever created came out of poverty breh. My question is why are they choosing to promote the chief keefs when he represents a minority of our community. And what about the middle ground. You know the dudes who are neither geniuses nor murderers, you know 95% of us.

And did you post a song released in 1981 to prove your point :dahell:

I don't listen to white artists for one and I'm not about to go searching for some.

And why would Jews have black interests at hand?

Third, it seems like people care about whites perception of blacks like it really matters.

Chief Keef or Bobby from NY is no representation for me, nor is Young Thug.

Hell, I'm from the same housing projects as Keef and I'm happy he made it out.

This is the issue that I have with hip hop right now. The mainstream shyt is fukking poison man. It's the snit the masses of us hear on the radio. Those people pushing this music aren't black. They're white people who don't give two fukks about us finding and promoting music that they wouldn't even want their own children listening to.

And the argument about art imitating life is bullshyt. Go to any hood and everyone ain't a murderous super killing drug dealer. It's a small group but somehow that one aspect of our upbringing is given all of the advertising dollars.
case and point:

look at this jiggaboo shuckin and jiving for white people

so disgusting
