Not a good start. Not to worried about the O, Kc played them well. Tho Jules out and Dola hurt, seemed to make Josh go Vertical and that makes no sense but whatever. The Pats Front is very worrisome. But eh' not to worried, a lot to clean up. September is going to be shaky ..

That wasn't fun at all:russ:.

Defense looked terrible. No positives at all on that side of the ball
Offense just sputtered. No clue why we didn't sneak the ball on those 4ths.

These injuries are piling up.

We still good tho

We'll be fine but the Pats obviously have not adjusted to not having Edelman yet or Mitchell. They basically need to design an entire new offense. THey tried to run the same shyt and plug people into Edelman's spot and it didn't work out. They need to be a vertical team. It also didn't help that the refs didn't call PI. The defense has something like 7 new starters. But Hightower definitely need to go back to MLB, no one else is capabble on that team. We will be fine.

in surprised they used him in Edelman role so much. figured they'd move cooks around more
Doesn't know the plays yet. Brady was basically waiting for guys to get open last night. They all have no reps together. Pats usually over rely on on Jules until guys get acclimated. Pats won't figure it out into about week 5. I hate to say it, but we could legitimately start 0 for 3.

Lol I bet Brady over 1.5 rushing yards. He had so many opportunities for his classic QB sneak.

I think the offense will come together once these new guys get playing time and build more chemistry with TB. Our RB play was really good imo. WR was mediocre. It looked like Danny was gonna fill the Edelman void but he went down like the glass house that he is. TB doesn't seem to have much trust in any receiver. He's gotta get back to feeding Gronk. Cooks looked average out there. Pretty disappointed in that but it did look like he was getting held on a lot of plays.

D was terrible. This new group needs a lot of help and these injuries are gonna be the death of us. I'll give KC some credit as their players shined and their talents may have just been unstoppable on a few plays, but overall the Pats D gave that game away.

All that said, I'm not too concerned. I figured they would have a SB hangover and it showed. Hopefully they get over it quick.

We learned a lot against Kansas City, certainty in the fourth quarter,” Belichick said of being outscored 21-0 in the final 15 minutes. “Hopefully we can improve on it and do a better job here the next time around.

For more perspective, here are some nuggets from the last time (5,812 days ago) the Patriots were two games below .500 in a season:
  • The team was still playing home games in old Foxboro Stadium.

  • The Red Sox hadn't won a World Series since 1918.

  • Quarterback Drew Brees was less than a month away from taking his first NFL snap.

  • Jim O’Brien was the head coach of the Boston Celtics.

  • Bill Geurin led the Boston Bruins in goals scored, with 41.

  • Albert Pujols had just completed his rookie season.

  • The average price of gas was $1.31 per gallon.
