Mcvays pre snap trickery isn’t gonna be as effective against a Belichick defense

Pats newfound run game can some what neutralize Donald

Gurley is looking geriatric :flabbynsick:

But rams have heart and a talent advantage. Close game but ultimately

Pats 28-24

One of the picks was on the goal line and the other pick was a dropped pass on an intermediate cross route. Neither were 'down the field throws'

The first one. Yeah.

That intermediate throw was down the field for how he was throwing up to that point. My main point is throwing the ball 7+ yards down the field ain't Brady's forte anymore especially with their WR core. Force him to do that until he proves he can do it consistently.

Im not sure about his deep ball as much, but he was throwing some 10 yard strikes in the clutch yesterday. Even his two throws to Cordelle in the clutch that were incompletions were right on the money with good zip. I do agree his deep ball has lost some zip/accuracy but I think he can still take advantage of 1v1's down the field (but do they have anyone that can get open deep?)

Gerald Everett or Higbee need to be the X factor. Losing Kupp was huge because he was Goff’s security blanket/checkdown guy. Those creative ass blitzes Beli throws, Goff won’t have a lot of time in the pocket. Hopefully Gurley balls out cause before he got hurt he was near Marshal Faulk like with catching the ball out the backfield.

Your 2nd point is the other half of the argument. Josh Gordon was a great fit because he didn't need to be accurate with him. Gronk is clearly breaking down. Edelman ain't the same either. James White is his security blanket now and having a RB as your primary receiving threat is the best case scenario for a defense with LBs that can run. They just contained Kamara, I know he caught 11 passes, but he didn't blow the game open like he usually does so we'll see what their plan is.

side thought: I've said the same about Brees the past month to some of my friends. They don't get hit as much, but both of them are starting to show the same lack of downfield consistency that killed Peyton at the end.
