Nah tribalism was very much a thing in the RSPW days. WCW and WWF stans used to be at war. The majority of the IWC hated WCW because of Hogan and Nash but their stans were very vocal. ECW and WWF had a lot of fan overlap because of the Northeast
See I was too young for that and had no internet access so that was foreign to me. Idk people were like that until I got on the internet in the early 00s and I was a teenager by then. This is a phase most should've grown out of or never been in. It's really not that serious.

Same

I saw a meme that said “McDonald’s taste good af when you don’t have someone in your ear screaming about how nasty it is”

And that was my experience growing up during the Monday night wars in a nutshell. Just watching freely without a care in the world, and looking up spoilers on rajah at school. Accepting the show as it was and moving on once the show was over

I’m sure if I was online with the sourpusses complaining about everything, it would have been a totally different experience lol

Facts. I can't imagine during the AE only watching one company out of blind loyalty. Stanning and tribalism has effected too much of society. It's very odd
Oh I do imagine people doing that in the 90's. TSC would've been a hilarious war zone. Just picture the stanning for ECW and people either losing ban bets or self exiling after their company took a big L :mjlol:

This is the key for me. Waaaay too many grown ass man still argue in internet boards the same way the did when they were 15-18. And with tribalism becoming so ingrained in fandoms in general, it really sticks out like a sore thumb. Let the kids be the dumb asses that go into silly stan wars, not join them like it's a the lost cause you weren't able to fight when you were younger :mjlol:

:wow: It was all good when Twitter was getting on Tony's case when he dropped the Punk video, that was it, that was when AEW was dead... then Jack Perry had Chicago in the palm of his hand while Punk still on the sideline... a reminder of 3 major injuries over 3 years... and then AEW does what it does best; weird storylines, bad audio, but good matches for the most part... bar to bar.

Perry comes back, all is well, Tony Khan is crippled and Shad Khan walks in with the biggest fukking mustache and exudes an intense aura.

AEW just... will... not... die
