Nah tribalism was very much a thing in the RSPW days. WCW and WWF stans used to be at war. The majority of the IWC hated WCW because of Hogan and Nash but their stans were very vocal. ECW and WWF had a lot of fan overlap because of the Northeast

This is the key for me. Waaaay too many grown ass man still argue in internet boards the same way the did when they were 15-18. And with tribalism becoming so ingrained in fandoms in general, it really sticks out like a sore thumb. It was all good when Twitter was getting on Tony's case when he dropped the Punk video, that was it, that was when AEW was dead... then Jack Perry had Chicago in the palm of his hand while Punk still on the sideline... a reminder of 3 major injuries over 3 years... and then AEW does what it does best; weird storylines, bad audio, but good matches for the most part... bar to bar.

Perry comes back, all is well, Tony Khan is crippled and Shad Khan walks in with the biggest fukking mustache and exudes an intense aura.
