nah he right. Them 90s trainers with the EVA foam been known to fall apart or seperate for the air bubble if not worn regularly.
id say wear em, but not where you tryna be seen until you know they good.

My SC trainer 2's which I copped about 13 years ago still holding up.....
the problem is really just if the shoes are left deadstock for too long. as long as theyre getting worn its fine, but if they go too long after they are made without ever being worn it can fukk up the soles and they crumble
