77% of the population is white. That's 248,710,000
13% of the population is black. That's 41,990,000
If 45% of black people watch the NBA, that's 18,895,500 fans
If 40% of white people watch the NBA, that's 99,484,000 fans
So NO. The NBA is far from having the majority of it's fans be black, Once again, have you even been inside an NBA arena? You want things to be one way, but it just isn't so.

African-Americans account for 45% of the people that watch the NBA. It's not 45% of the black population watch the NBA, so you can't go by your calculations.

I re-read the report, and yeah that is indeed what it says. I don't believe that to be true based on what you see at any NBA game outside ATL & DC, but if that's what their survey shows I'll go with it :manny:

Going to a NBA game is expensive as hell.

I can sign up NBA league pass and it works out cheaper than going to a basketball game up here an d getting adequate seats
