The owners are untouchable. Period. You couldn't bankrupt them if the whole god damn country quit on the NFL.

Coaches and GM's can go get jobs in college.

Doctors are doctors, they'll always have jobs.

Cheerleaders can go to the NBA.

Offices? Okay maybe they lose thier jobs.

Where the hell else can a 3rd string free safety make 300k a year? What other job can he do?

Lmk.

:francis: Think about what you're saying.

That the black players in the NFL will be hit the hardest and have the most to lose if this boycott is successful?

That...instead of hanging all those brehs out to dry...we should try to swing the power balance in the NFL to favor the majority? Which are black players? Sort of like...iono...what the NBA did?

Nah...lets not give 1000 brothers huge earning potential. Lets shut the whole thing down. Mmmk.

So basically, because some players may not find jobs, fukk a protest? :picard:

You know what. That's a very good point.

If, as a community, we created opportunities for athletes that could pull them away from the NFL and give them security then that would affect the NFL much more negatively than "boycotting."

It would force the NFL to either...up the pay or guarantee the contracts to get players to stay.

If everyone on the "boycott" list was working together on that instead of watching NBATV Classics on Sundays then maybe I could get with it.

But the boycott as currently constructed has no upside as far as black people are concerned.

Lmao miss the point brehs.

Boycott the NFL but still patronize NFL Sponsors brehs.

Ol' "I'm boycotting the Mall but it's ok if I eat at the food court" ass :russ:
Yeah that literally makes no sense.
Boycott a company you disagree with and not other companies who haven't made the same decision. LOL
The logic some of you are using is so absurd it seems you would have to be retarded to even type it out.

Using your logic you would have told the black people in Montgomery, involved in the bus boycott they were wasting their time because they were still in the city giving their tax money to the city. Right? LOL

Backwards as hell

I never said fukk the protest.

I said if you're protesting out of some sense of pro-blackness...then find another way to protest. Because your "pro black" protest is only going to hurt black people.

If you want the NFL in general to crash and burn, regardless of who goes broke, then protest away....but you better protest them sponsors too other wise you aint doin shyt.

If you just personally dont want to watch football then that's cool. Just don't try to paint me to be some kind of c00n because I do watch.

The bus boycott worked because of all the black dollars that were not being spent riding busses.

You LITERALLY said you have no plans to withold your dollar from NFL Sponsors who pay the NFL.

Therefore your black dollars are still going to the NFL, through their sponsors.

You're protesting CBS, FOX, and ESPN. Those are literally the only entities affected by your protest.

What is it exactly that you don't understand?

I'm not against you not watching football anymore. I don't give a fukk. If people wanna protest and boycott, that's fine. Keep in mind, most of the people boycotting here would go back to watching football if they got what they wanted. What you're doing is not a boycott so don't overstate your importance to this issue. Once you've decided to walk away completely, your cries will fall on deaf ears. The value of a person saying "I'm boycotting UNTIL you do this" is worth more than "I'm done. I'm soooooo done."
You asked a question you got an answer.
By definition what I'm doing is literally a boycott. I can't help it if you don't like reading.
Actually walking away when you used to be a customer is what every business is scared of, which is why most try to retain their customer base.
Its okay breh, I understand you need your football and you need people to want it as much as you do.

Exactly.

The NFL is blacker than it is white. The white guys have looooong money and don't really need you to watch.

The black guys at the bottom of the totem pole will feel your boycott the hardest.

This is like trying to bankrupt a restaurant owner by getting his store closed. He's going to sell the building to make his money back and continue to be rich, while the brehs who work the kitchen end up being unemployed.

Who really lost?

The flaw with your argument is you think I sympathize with all the NFL players. What Ray Lewis, Michael Vick, Dez Bryant, Dak Prescott, and other players have shown is that they're way more willing to abide by white supremacist vitriol as long as they're financially secure enough.

So....

Black players are an integral part of the NFL and any action which helps promote increased dignity for them is A WIN

Their earning potential is based on a combination of on-field performance, their agent and the cba as agreed to by their spineless union

This idea that you cant take incremental steps and mold it into a bigger movement to effect the NFL is short sighted.....

So let's break this down and get it straight.

I'm boycotting the NFL an organization that told me a player protesting unarmed police killing of black men is divisive to the country, unpatriotic, and unacceptable to them.
This is reasonable, clearly stated, and makes sense. As of right now, I'm with you.

they won't get a dollar from me anymore in terms of attention to their product or licensed merchandise.
Okay, I can get with this. Still with you.

You are right I'm not boycotting their sponsors, I'm boycotting them.
And...you lost me. So FedEx, by continuing to be an NFL sponsor hasn't "told (you) a player protesting unarmed police killing of black men is divisive to the country, unpatriotic, and unacceptable to them?"

Has Ford come out and denounced the NFL's blackballing of Kaep?

By continuing to support and advertise through the NFL, these companies have bascially said that they could give a fukk about Colin and what he stands for.

And yet you want to boycott the NFL, but not them??? And you don't see why that's backwards???
