I dont' get why some nikkaz need a blueprint as to why folk are boycotting. I mean, people boycott artists, brands, stores, companies, etc. I mean, if you don't fukk with that company then so be it. No explanation required. If it works for you then so be it.

I won't label people watching as c00ns. But people criticizing those who are boycotting have a few screws loose. Goes way beyond football and would be good to see black people actually get together to stand for something instead of shrug it off and accept injustice.

The bus boycotts in the 1950's "benefitted" white supremacists also as white people didn't have to worry about ANY Black people being on the buses.

But the bus boycott hurt bus companies and bus drivers specifically.

Boycotting the NFL by not watching is hurting those that need to rely more on revenue (the players) than others (the owners)

A boycott isn't required to have a 'clear aim or goal' in mind. If you for example refuse to spend your money at a shop for any reason you are in effect, boycotting that shop. But since you guys wanna be so picky heres one result of a boycott - it raises awareness.

Boycotts are generally done for social, political or environmental reasons. You've seen it happen in the consumer culture under the umbrella of 'moral purchasing'. I don't need to tell you why some black people are boycotting the NFL (I've already hinted at why people are doing it).

Its not rocket science as to why posters here are boycotting the NFL but hey, you can always rely on a 2012 poster to defend anything that threatens white pockets.

I'm quoted in the OP so let me clarify. I'm not against the boycott, I simply mentioned that I don't understand it and that it seems to be counter productive if the aim is to hurt the NFL's pockets for being racist. Boycotting hurts more black people than it does white people. And ultimately, the outcome of the boycotts will be that black men will lose the platform to protest that the NFL has provided. I have zero doubt that it'll be automatic suspension for not standing for anthem after the next collective bargaining agreement. And the white supremacist will get all the credit for boycott, because they started boycotting first. So to me, it seems the boycott is just helping the very fukking racist we claim to hate.

I also think its type disrespectful to conflate the CTE issue with the race issues. I mean, can black men decide to assume the risk of CTE for millions of dollars or is assumption of such risk beyond us as men

My whole point is not watching does not make you Ali and watching does not make you a c00n. Its a complicated issue.
